Help deciding on what to watch...

Hi everyone, I'm new on this board pleased to meet you all :)

Anyhow I'm a huge sentai fan, currently watching through Maskman and Jetman and this year I've gotten into Kamen Rider where I've watched through all the Heisei era riders with the exception of Kuuga, which I'll be starting as soon as I got through the two mentioned sentai.

Now I've seen the praise what the Ultraman series get and I'm curious enough to give it a go, I'm gonna get the DVD boxset for the original series next week (while saving up so I can eventually get the expensive Kamen Rider v3 boxset as well). What I want to ask is, which other Ultraman series would you all recommend me watching?

Any recommendations would be appreciated

Tiga. Cosmos. Taro. Ace. Leo. 80. Max. Ultraseven.

Also welcome. I'm glad more people are actually opening up to Ultraman.

No, in all seriousness? I would recommend Nexus, Max, and Moebius to an Ultra-newbie such as yourself. I want to recommend older stuff like Ultra Q and Ultraman Ace but those three newer showers are [mostly] subtitled and more readily available.

The older stuff is so beyond cooler than the newer stuff, much as I love it all. XD

Cosmos can go suck it, though. :P

As one of the newer Ultra fans, alow me to welcome you to HJU, but also the Universe which is Ultraman.

Anyways, check out Tiga, Mebius, Nexus, Ultraman, Ultraseven, UltrasevenX, and Ultra Galaxy Daikaijyu, and Ultra Galaxy Never ending Odyssey.

And again, welcome.:patriotic:

Yes, another all out Sentai fan. Sup Garren! :buttrock:

How much sentai have you seen already?

Thanks to all the fast replies quite a few recommendations lol, I'll probably start with the Ultraman boxset and Mebius since Mebius has been subbed.

In reply to Kivat, sentai wise I actually started by watching Go-Onger while it was airing, my first full series was Gekiranger though since that was the one I was curious with. Since then I've watched though Boukenger, Magiranger and Dekaranger plus I'm up to date with Shinkenger as well (up to date also meaning I've got all the DX mecha with the exception of Ushi Origami).

From Maskman and Jetman I'm on episode 37 of both series since I'm watching them both at the same time and once they're done I'll get up to date Dairanger, Liveman plus all the others which are currently being subbed.

Stay the heck away from Cosmos and watch Leo and Gaia. :D

Though if you want something subbed, Max and Nexus are two of the best.

Wow, good good. I recommend Dairanger and Flashman too.

Max is THE best modern series, IMO. Then you have Bio Planet WoO, which is just the best modern tokusatsu series period (and also a Tsuburaya show).

Just sayin. :P

I'll add Ultraman Max and Nexus to my "to watch" list lol

Ryoutarou, you said Max and Nexus have been subbed, I've found Mebius and Nexus but I can't seem to find Ultraman Max, which group has subbed it?
