Hell is Empty is a Mystery Thriller about a Teenage runaway named Lydia( Spencer Peppet) who finds refuge from a commune. That’s what she thought until her ignorance was no longer bliss. If you enjoy films like Midsommar and The village, this is right in your alley.
Jo Shaffer directed and co-written this movie. She is known for producing New Flesh for the Old Ceremony and Calliope.
He practices Polygamy because he thinks he have the rights, and he has multiple wives that live like sisters. People are submissive to his orders. At first, Lydia is happy living with this cult because of their kind demeanour and hospitality. As days go by, she discovers that there is something not right.

It all begins with the charismatic leader and the love bombing from the members then the madness kicks in. These stories keep you on the edge whether as thrillers or as real life documentaries. This one has the same feel as Midsommar.
