Well, I was doing this assignment on school, was planning to finish it at home, when I realized that I was using iwork's pages, and I only got windows at home, and it's due at monday, THIS monday, can anyone quickly export this to .doc or .docx pls? ^_^;

[The only reason that it's on a zip format is coz I can't upload a folder, and in windows, .pages is considered a folder =/]

What's the typical file format of an iWork document?

Also...iWork isn't available for Windows. Just Mac OS/X

Do a Google search for "convert .pages to .doc". When you do you'll find links to some forums sites that give instructions on converting tricks you can try. You'll also find DL links for software that you can DL to try and convert it that way.

Not sue, I don't use iWork that much, but i THINK, you can edit the text by editing the xml document in it.. but.. it might stuff it up.. so... yeah.

Best if anyone here in the board to export it to a .doc somehow DX

EDIT-
Yeah, I don't think there's a converter, but ppl with iWork can open it and save it as .doc

There's no one that you know that you can call up that has a Mac? Relatives? Friends? Another student from one of your classes? No one at all?

Given the fact that you said your assignment is due for Monday, I'd suggest that you be a bit more proactive in finding a Mac that you can access yourself, be it at the university computer lab or public library or anywhere else where you live that has publicly-accessible computers. Should that prove to be a bust, then you should probably email/phone your instructor, explain your situation, and ask for an extension ASAP.

You know, I've had a mac forever and I still can't figure this crap out. My dad gives me iWorks and says "yeah, pages works fine all over the place" and there's no damn option to convert it. I can't figure it out for the life of me.

Haha, wow. I just figured it out and it's pretty simple. I feel stupid now.

Go to File > Export then it'll give you a couple choices of different things. pdf, word, RTF, and txt. You want word because word files are .doc.

You don't have a lot of time!!! GOGOGO!!!!!

Been there, done that — I once had to submit a document last minute but realized half my files were stuck in HEIC and Pages formats. Total nightmare! I stumbled on this tool https://app.setapp.com/convert-heic-to-pdf that saved me more than once. It’s super quick for turning those annoying HEIC images into PDFs, which is way easier to share or attach to assignments. Now I don’t stress about what format my stuff is in — I just drop it in and move on. If you ever get caught with weird file types, definitely worth a shot.
