Green Lantern Release Date Set!

The super hero market during the summer months is a crowded one, but Warner Brothers is looking to change all of that by announcing that Green Lantern will be lighting up Christmas trees on December 17th, 2010. Obviously a move meant to make sure it's the only big gun super hero film for the holiday season since Iron Man 2, Green Hornet and Thor are going to be shown during the summer of 2010.

The second half and last of the Harry Potter movies will be released on July 15, 2011, the same weekend of The Avengers. Thank God I do this for a living and get to see the movies before they come out because the theaters that weekend are going to be more packed than an apartment filled with illegal aliens in East L.A.

Sherlock Holmes (the one starring Robert Downey Jr.) will open December 25th, 2009 and be in direct competition with Disney's Princess and the Frog, Dwayne Johnson's Tooth Fairy movie, Alvin and the Chipmunks sequel and an untitled Nancy Meyers comedy.

Incredible Hulk director Louis Leterrier's new film, a remake of the classic Clash of the Titans, will pull a Zack Snyder and come out in March. March 26th, 2010 to be exact.

Meanwhile, Zack's latest project after Watchmen is Suckerpunch, coming out in theaters on October 8th, 2010.

Your sister will lose her virginity on April 9th, 2010. That's not a movie, it's just when I'll be in town so I wanted to warn you ahead of time.

Jonah Hex will shoot into theaters on August 6th, 2010.

And Christopher Nolan's follow up to The Dark Knight, Inception, will come out in theaters on July 16th 2010.

Script needs a rewrite and some character changes. **** felt like Spider-Man 4 and not Green Lantern.

2010 also has King of Fighters, The Expendables, M. Night Shyamalan's The Last Airbender, Tim Burton's Alice and Wonderland, and Prince of Persia :/

Green Lantern has an awesome director & a release date that's acceptable. Now I'm just hoping Ryan Gosling gets the part, then I will be totally sold on this movie.

Is he going to be Black? I hope so, cuz Justice League was the **** with the black green lantern.

And his relationship with Hawkgirl is the best. I love interracial **** like that.

The director is not awesome until he commissioners a rewrite to work it with his style. The script right now is pretty much Iron Man 2, Spider-Man 4, X-Men 4, etc.

John Stewart (the Black Green Lantern) is mentioned but not shown. The four major lanterns shown are Hal Jordan (A mix between Emerald Dawn Hal and Geoff Johns douchebag Hal), Alan Scott, Kilowog, and Sinestro.

Hal seriously needs a rewrite, make him like how Kyle is now or how Hal was pre-Parallax, make him embody what the Green Lantern is all about like what Kyle is. Johns Hal is pretty much the unimaginative Jock douchebag that punches his friends if they disagree with him and makes only fists and planes with the ring. Kyle right now shows the imagination and the use of the ring at full potential, he also embodies that willpower and that true heroism.
