Graphic battles?

A couple of other forums I go to do this and since the toku_icontest on LJ has taken off pretty well, I thought it would be a good idea to try it out here. The basic idea is that we get a lot of graphic makers to enter and pit their stuff against each other based on certain themes. For instance, I would post the them of "red", people PM their entries involving that theme, color, emotion, whatever, myself and a second judge (yet to be picked) give our votes, each worth one point and then we put the graphics up in a poll, the makers would remain anonymous until that week's contest was over. The winner of the poll gets one point and the top [insert number] go onto the second round. There really wouldn't be any prizes other than bragging rights, but that doesn't stop people in other communities, would anyone be up for this?

I've been wanting to start a banner contest, but there's very rarely posts in this forum. If there's enough people though, I'll probably make time to participate.

Yeah, I'm hoping we can get at least 6 really good banner makers together to participate and maybe make it a yearly thing, crown the winner "King of HJU graphics" or something XD

I have no art program on this computer so I couldn't join, but I'd certainly be interested in checking out the banners people put together. We have some really talented banner and avatar makers here on this forum, and there's nothing like a little competition to bring out " teh mad skillz"
