Glad to hear that NoB is doing the opening, I'm a big fan of the Boukenger OP and I think he has a killer voice. I liked the Go-Onger OP so Hideyuki isn't a bad choice for the ED. Solid Singers for Sentai once again.

No, my concern here is that if Yellow and Black's first "focus episode" moments are "Yellow does something stupid, triggers Black's sister complex"? That suggests the series wants us to get used to that as a foundational trait for both characters. Otherwise you put it off into the teens or 20s when you need to mark time.

Blearggh. I like Saint Seiya and all, but this tired old plot trigger is by far one of the franchise's crappiest legacies. I could go five million years never seeing another character defined by his stupid imouto complex again and die perfectly happy.

(In part because I would have somehow lived for five million years.)

If this is anything like Gekiranger, the character development episodes actually will mean development.

So yellow making such a mistake here pretty much means it won't be repeated later on (at least, not in episodes written by the main writer).

I like how the team members have only one name, kinda like DaiRanger. And others, just that Dai is the first to come to mind for me.
