You can't go wrong with R.A.D...or if you can find it Steel Battalion , or I've heard nothing but good things about Z.O.E 2. Gundam games are a mixed bag, the only good one I've ever played was on the Dreamcast.

Gundam vs. Zeta Gundam is pretty good if you like arcade style action in 2-3 minute bursts. Universal Century Mode is a whopper to beat. About 900 missions total. I love it. It plays exactly like Federation vs. Zeon so you'll be right at home if you're familiar with that game. I say R.A.D. is the best out of all though. You really feel like you're controlling a 50 story robot and the sense of scale is amazing.
