getting Keith into Ultraman (Nexus style)

You should definitely try watching Ultraman Max, it's got a really great story and it's a lot of fun. The characters are amusing and the humor tends to be the sort of thing that can actually make you laugh.

Let him hit Nexus and finish it first and if it knocks his tastebuds then I got no doubt he'll go for Max next if he wants another Giant fix. Max rocks but Nexus is always the best enterance for non Ultra/KR fans.

Not...really. As great as Nexus is, it's a huge departure from the rest of the series. And even now counting that, I always thought Max was better. It has a really unique style that isn't seen too much and focused more on the develooment of characters and the other quirky people throughout it. Not to mention, it's probably the last time you'll ever see a tokusatsu where a character doesn't have a power up and only has one extra weapon.

Why do you want to do that to the man? Nexus is a fantastic show, but it delves deep into Antispiral/Evangelion levels of despair early on. It's easily the darkest of the Heisei Ultramen. I would never suggest Nexus as a jumping on point for Ultraman. Cosmos, Max, or even the original Tiga are better for that.

Nexus should be saved for A) After most of the other works B) After the watcher has signed a waiver that they won't kill you for showing it to them and C) Before Mebius, so that after getting the soul crushed by Nexus, it will bounce back.

Even though its a lot different from the other Ultra shows, Nexus could be considered a bridge point for some people. Since it has similar story-telling concepts as KR, it could get people at least use to the Ultra battles, which tend to turn off a lot of people. Nexus' battles seem a lot faster than some others that I have seen thus far. So yeh, it may be a good place to start. Mebius is good too. And Id love to continue Dyna at some point.

I agree with Tiga, Cosmos, Dyna and whoever said any of those.

Yes we are the Largest Tokusatsu board around but with our lack of Ultraman it doesn't really seem like it.

I would like to finish Gaia at some point.

Fujimiya/Agul is still my fav Ultra of all time.

WAM! BAM! Exacally.

I know I liked Ultra Seven X a LOT(but never finished it) and yeah, that Mebius movie was in-fucking-credible.

Go to Nexus.
