getting into the Ultraman world

Hi I've been interested in Ultraman for awhile...It's just that I have no clue which series to start with or where to find the DVD's or subs or raws haha

Figured this was the best place to ask since you're all friendly and awesome and filled with Toku love :laugh:

Friendly. Ahah. However, I'd love to know which series were subbed. Would help me figure out what next. I've watched Neos ep. 1 & Ultra Seven X.

Normally finding sources for Subbed/Dubbed ultraman isn't that hard. TV nihon did a little of Mebius. SgtKira fansubs is starting Dyna. HNT is doing Neos. TV-Nihon did all of Ultraseven X and Nexus. there are many dvd sites out there that have subs/dubs. Tokuplex did half of Ultraman Max. Nobody's done Ultra Galaxy and Ultra Galaxy Never ending oddessy which is sad. Ultraman Powered and Ultraman Great are already in english. there is legit DVD copys of Ultraman tiga[which im still trying to get all 4 volumes]. Ultraman Cosmos has been dubbed in english. Ultraman Taro has been dubbed in english.

either way, just watching RAWs or subbed like in Ultraman, Ultraseven X, Ultraman Nexus, Ultraman Dyna lately. try to watch Ultraman Taro.

Ultra Galaxy is HK subbed at Ultrafanz Blog, a lot of the names are messed up but you get the gist of the story.

Max! If you can find it, the show is probably one of the best tokusatsu of the last 10 years.

You could start with the original Ultraman series on DVD, subbed/dubbed. Bought mines off Amazon.com

You can start with the original Ultraman series available for a steal on Amazon and with Ultraman Mebius, subbed by Fushigi-chan subs.

Don't start with Nexus or UltraSeven X, it'll just leave a bad taste in your mouth for Ultraman in general.

Ultraman Mebius would be good if you wanna know more of the Ultra lore. The original Ultraman series is always a great start. That's the series I started with. :thumbs:
