Genocide of the Human Race: Rp Thread

Taking the simple gesture that Masashi was ready, Hikari held on stead fast and pull together in perfect synchronization until her father was finally lifted from the hole. Katsu clothing was torn in various places and mostly covered in soot. As they gently place him on a stretched out blanket Hikari was rattled the dead stillness shadowing over him. Hovering over her father’s body refused to trust her own eyes and check for a pulse. There was none.

The paramedics surrounding them rushed in to take over, but Hikari could not move her own body still clinging onto Katsu’s shoulders. The veteran soldier who had praised Masashi sighed heavily in remorse for the child’s lost and took it upon himself to get out the other parent. With aided assistance from his subordinates the girl’s mother was also freed. The soldiers celebration did not last very long. Glancing down at her own hand notice unlike her husband there was very little inflictions from the blast, but also the flames licking away at her finger tips.

After lifting Hikari's father out, the young man closed his eyes at the sight. True to his fears, the man did not survive and he could only look at the blue haired woman with sadness in his eyes. I...know what it's like to lose a parent, Hikari-san... Placing a hand on Hikari's shoulder to comfort her, he saw the others bring her mother out, who looked as if she was still alive, though barely.

"The paramedics need to treat her now! Get them over here!!" Masashi shouted, knowing that time was of the essence. He had already saw the young woman lose one parent...she didn't want her to lose both of them...

There were words of wisdom passed down one may hear of lives lost from the media, one does not truly understand or comprehend completely until they experience it themselves. Wisdom that was painfully true. Following which leads one into denial accepting the loss, which Hikari was in trying to awaken her father by shaking his shoulders until Masashi’s comforting hand made the young woman realize that there was nothing they can do. Feeling torn between two worlds, Hikari place a hand on top of Masashi’s as her attention was adverted

“…They won’t be able to do anything.” Aoi brushed off the team that pulled her up. “There’s nothing they can do, but something that needs to made known.” looking at them remorsefully, “…Aside from the obvious security breech and ones responsible must pass this on…he might have lost his way now. He…He show that it is possible for Orphenochs to live….with humans…”

With Aoi seemingly making her last words, Masashi was wondering just what she met. She was talking about him, right? How was he, a soldier who fought against Orphenochs, going to show that humans could live with...and then he realized it. The person he was comforting, whose hand was on his...she...was an Orphenoch. He didn't know what to think. He had always been fighting against these things, ever since he got the means to. They had caused him so much pain...but...this one that he was comforting...she was in pain as well.

And...it still didn't change the fact that he had feelings for her. He thought to himself that it might be difficult to live with this realization, but, upon deeper thought, perhaps not. All Masashi did was nod in response to Aoi's words, to convey to the woman that he understood. This...is going to be different...but...Hikari...doesn't seem bad...no...she is, without a doubt, a good person...I can tell...

(OOC: I know, Magi...it's doubtful that others will post, but, as I mentioned before, we can finish our scene...and...I hope that I didn't misread your last post...if I have, please correct me...^^;;...)

“Mother! Please let them help you…†Hikari tried persuading her mother’s irrational judgment of denying medical attention. The blue-hair young woman did not comprehend the true meaning by her mother’s words. Aoi reached out only for a moment to touch Hikari’s shoulder and shook her head reassuring the decision made. “But…â€

Aoi smiled weakly that her message had gotten through with him and understanding. “Thank you…and am truly sorry…†exchanging glances from Masashi and her daughter, “…It was…wrong to keep this a guarded secret, but who would believe that…an Orphenoch after that betrayal. At the time it was the only way that I could think of helping humanity to survive.†adverting her attention towards Katsu’s body. “…There will be more….Orphenoch that will try to…destroy all that we’ve tried to accomplish…, but I wanted to show that not all of us are alike….Hikari…I had….hope…you did not need to find out this way….What I had wanted for you to live at least a normal life…forgive…†lying her head down on the ground for the last time. The blue flames flared more wildly as the last of Aoi’s strength faded consuming until an ash outline of her body remained.

Witnessing this spectacle stirred mixed emotions from those gathered around. Unable holding back the tears covered her face sobbing. A small part of Hikari had always felt that there was something different, did not really pay it much attention. Though now it made sense to what her mother was trying to explain all long. The tears shed were not the truth of whom…of what she really was, but the lost of her parents. From the group of soldiers that had remained behind, while the rest had been drawn to another sector, one of the soldiers raised their weapon at Hikari in hate.

“Stop!†Alex shouted forcing the soldier’s arm down, “What do you think you’re doing?!â€

“What the hell does it look like old man!†the soldier sneered.

“It looks like you’re about to make a big mistake that’s what. I knew them far long before you were out of your mother’s womb and that they look out for everyone within this haven! A part of me not really happy about the secrecy, but know why they had chosen to keep it as that. Now you’re pointing a weapon at a girl who lost her family, because what she is rather who she is?! Wanna know what I see? happen to see a young caring woman and not some cold-hearted monster! That’s why I am ordering you to stand down.†Reluctantly the soldier stood down.
