Garren? Blade? Chalice? Leangle? - What's the Theme?

This is one of the reasons I wanted Testsuya in this forum since day one. He knows his ****. His opinions, even if some may disagree deserve respect. He is a sempai.

I can't take credit for the Blade chess connection, that was something I had already read on another forum. I can't find the exact post and was wondering if someone else had read it. I think I screwed something up, there has to be more to it than Blade being the king because he's the title of the damn show. Damn it, the original poster worded it so much better...

The chess theory is interesting, but since there's only four Riders, what about the Bishop & Rook?

If you look really closely, Fourteen in the movie is holding what appears to be a giant chess piece in one hand and a sword in the other.

I read somewhere that a "leangle" is a club-like weapon. Actually here

As far as the Faiz names, Kaixa coulding be called Kaizer cause it doen't have the extended vowel at the end. It's like when i see people call Kuuga, Couger :nono:

Also, Orga used the pronounciation of Omega which can also be called "O," it's kinda like how Agito wasn't called Alphagitomega cause it had those greek letters.

its pronounced kuuga, just listen to the song intro, geez
Um, yeah I know. But it even if though it's pronounced Kuuga, if you extend the "a," it can become Couger. But since it isn't an extended "a" it can't be Couger. At least in this case.

This is what I always thought:

Kuuga - Cougar
Agito - Awaken
Ryuki - Dragon Knight
Faiz - 555
Blade - Sword
Hibiki - Phantom
Well, Kuuga isn't Cougar. Someone did once say what it did mean, cause there was an ep title "kuuga" which showed the kanji for Kuuga. I don't remember what it was though.

Agito has something to do with Alpha and Omega, due to the shows high religious theme.

Faiz comes from the greek letter phi, the 555 comes from sounding like phi.

Blade, well the kanji in the logo means sword.

Hibiki means echo.
