Would I still watch it if it wasn't related to Garo? I guess maybe not, especially with how packed the Fall season is looking for me, but overall I'd say it's looking pretty cool so far.
I haven't even bothered looking up the upcoming anime as I still haven't had the time to catch up on Aldahnoa Zero.

So who is behind this series? Animation and writers?
To be honest, I know I have already said it looks like every anime out there, but after Makai no Hana, I think I need a break away from the Garo universe. Nothing has yet to come close to recapturing the feel of the very first season.

Yeah, but she also wrote Go-Buster, Den-O, Shinkenger, and is currently the horror that is ToQGer. She doesn't know how to write villains for **** and her stories don't even know where they want to go until the last few episodes.
Red Requiem was utter crap. It featured some of the worst acting out of any Garo season and was just flat out boring.
Season 2 fell apart after the first 10 episodes.
The Zero mini series was absolutely pointless and could have been told in 3 episodes.
Makai no Hana was the only series that came close to mimicking the first season, but it decided to just have like 8 episodes straight of little to no choreography or really cool looking Horrors. Not to mention there is very little in the way of plot development. Instead of cramming so much exposition in the last few episodes they could have spread it throughout the entire series.

And I really liked Juuzo, though villain characterization are really a minor aspect of Garo.

I love Juuzo, but the show featured more than just Juuzo. Like you know, Dokoku, the MAIN VILLAIN. THe LEADER of the villains. The guy who should not have taken 43 episodes to do SOMETHING!!
Barago had a big role in Garo though. He was there in several episodes even if you did not know he was the villains. Even the dude's brother appeared several time throughout Season 2. Hell, ORE Journal's chief was a constant character throughout TOWSID. The only season of Garo that lacked in developing the villain has been Makai no Hana.

I don't know what to think of the whole Kobayashi thing really. Garo lacks the usual toy-selling requirements that she has with toku, and she's supposedly been told to take advantage of it being an anime rather than trying to create something just like the existing seasons. The only anime she's written that I've watched were Attack on Titan and JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, both of which I enjoyed but they were adaptations rather than original stories and therefore make it hard to properly gauge what she will do with a blank slate.
