I had never given Doramas a chance. Having grown up in Mexico, all I could watch of that kind was telenovelas, and I thought that a dorama was just a telenovela without the melodrama, which makes it sound reeeeeeeeally boring.
But then I heard about "Galileo" and after knowing it was a detective dorama (One of my favourite japanese things), I decided to give it a chance.
I loved it! And it features two big veterans of Dorama so I think it is a good start.
What do you think of this series?

Fuku-chan (Fukuyama Masaharu) is a great actor..

I guess he also sings the theme song.. Kiss something..

There are plenty of good police doramas..

i haven't seen it, but it sound good, as long is not of those horror thingy that bored me. Now where i can find it.

I've been into Doramas since i saw Nobuta Wo Produce, and your right fidelo, J-Dramas are like telenovelas (or soap opheras, as American calls them) but i dosen't necesearaly has de melodrama, may include it, may be a funny one, may be a love story, may de action, may be stupid, may be Toku-stile, you just has to chose your own. I think there is a live action show of... ummm... (i forgot the japanesse name) "Detective Conan" (still can remember :shakefist , that's how i now it), made by Oguri Shun, if you like mistery i guess that's a start.

Shibasaki Kou's in it - so sure win :laugh: but yea, i have yet to watch it as i will more appreciate the show if it's subbed. just talked with amrayu-sama of SARS fansubs and we'll soon release the subbed version of the show (good thing she karaoke-timed the ending song so i just messed around with it in less than 2 hours to make the karaoke effects of the show :sweat: )

Filadelfo-sama, try last season's Tantei Gakuen Q if you're interested in detective drama's =3 or the not so detective drama, the season before that - Liar Game.

KamiKaxxe-dono, i think it's Shibasaki Kou who sang the song, Kiss-shite with her artist name as KOH+ =3

Makub-dono, it's now confirmed that there will be a 2nd special of Meitantei Conan next year - can't wait :anime:

I don't really like how they cast in those specials. I mean, I'm pretty sure there are actors that resemble Kudou better.
I mean, you can't compare that to Katori Shingo (my favourite SMAP) as Son Goku in the Saiyuuki dorama and movie, now, that's good casting.

Anyways, I like Katori as NIKKO (impersonation of IKKO)

Nah, Kimutaku is too Tendo-ish and you all know my thoughts on Tendo.
I love Katori as Niwa-san.

I've watched the first episode, and it's pretty f'n good. I've yet to really have a chance to watch episode 2, but I'm liking the series so far.

The kid in ep 2 is a great actor, and also there are a couple of interesting cameos.
I was in the verge of tears with ep 3, really really sad...
Ep 4 featured Katori Shingo as a...well I think it'll be better if you watch it.

I have just started watching episode 1 of Galileo and i must say i enjoyed it. Detective themed dramas are never my favourite but Galileo could changed all that. I also have to say Shibasaki Kou looks pretty and hot even prettier and hotter than Maki Horikita in my opinion :thumbs:
