I hate that too I think the general idea though is that if something should happen to one of you're files you can go in and download just that one again :S

Though its freaking pointless with torrents :S & annoying if you are LOW ON DISK SPACE GR!

Err....why would you download anything if you are "LOW ON DISK SPACE GR!"?

On Mininova when I go to download a new episode of Heroes....I click a link to download and one of them is a split into files so I had to delete that one and pick the one that is just one file. I don't know why some people do that.

It's worse when someone posts a batch torrent for a bunch of songs...but you only want like, one or two songs out of the 1000 songs in that batch

If you use uTorrent you can weed out only the files you want to download out of batches like that.

You forget, usually large batches of small file are compressed in archives.
