Forum Downtime This Week

Just a heads-up folks, in case anyone hadn't noticed, in order to embed videos in your posts, it will now be necessary to use "VIDEO" tags around the video's URL (works pretty much the same way as how the "IMG" tags have to be used to post pics).

There's even a new button in the Quick Reply window that you can use for embedding videos. The button looks like a piece of old filmstrip and can be found in between the buttons for the IMG and QUOTE tags.

Ah.....just like how it is on other forums I've been on. Nice touch guys

Got a question:
After I leave Henshin Justice and I come back to the forums later on, for SOME odd reason, the site keeps signing me out.

The site should still remember my password but when I hit log-in, it takes me right to the "You've input the wrong password" screen/Even though the site should still have my password on file. Anyway, once I got to the "Input wrong password" screen, my password is there so I click remember me and log in and while I expected it to redirect me back to the main forum page, I got hit with an "Incorrect Redirect URL" thing.

Looking forward to when the site gets fixed because I have to do that procedure every time I come onto the forums. I'm not mad because of the site being down, I'm just annoyed that I have to do that maneuver each time I come to the site.

Nice redesign though. Hopefully this keeps out Spam-bots better.

Wow!

I love the new redesign, and the front hub page doesn't slow my browser down anymore!

To those responsible, well done!

I already posted this on the shoutbox, but just to provide more information:

There's a glitch where the first post of every page of the thread view is shown narrower than the rest.
You can see it in this screenshot:

Text wraps prematurely, and (not on the screenshot), images are resized to the smaller width. This only happens to the first post of each page. Every other post is fine.

I'm using an updated version of Chrome.

Bit of an update regarding posting videos.

If the video is on YouTube, it is no longer required to use the VIDEO tags. That being said, you still probably should use the tags just in case of any forum updates that we may get in the future. Also, it should make no difference whether the YouTube video uses HTTP or HTTPS or if you're using the long or short URL links as all of them should now embed.

The VIDEO tags will still be needed if the video is hosted on other sites like DailyMotion (when you click the VIDEO tag button, the pop-up window you get should state which video services will work). If you're trying to post a video from a site that is not included amongst the ones listed in the pop-up wndow, then it may not embed at all and you'll likely have to just post it as a URL link (so as an example, for anyone like me who sometimes watch videos on Youku, those can only be posted as URL links since they can't/won't embed here).

Thanks for the informative update JFC
