Follow Up to Death Note?

So, what's the creator doing next? And a friend of mine that LOVED it would like to know if there are any other anime like it that can meet its match.

Not sure what the creater is up too, but if your looking for an anime just as enjoyable to watch, try looking up Gantz, and Elfen lied! I find them just as enjoyable, despite it's graphic nature.

Weeellll...there is that L Movie, Change the World. But it really has nothing to do with Death Note.

There's no anime of it just yet, but the same author and artist team are currently publishing a pretty cool manga called Bakuman.

Right now the Author and Illustrator are doin a Manga called "Bakuman"
its about two 15-year-olds trying to create they're own manga to be serialized in weekly jump. its really goood.

Oh! You mean the character? Nope! But Geass is what I can recommend if we ? VS Light Yagami. No anime character has ever parred Light Yagami but Lelouch in terms of his own character.
