Five Rangers Game from Gaki no Tukai

Found this to be completely hilarious so I thought you guys might enjoy it. If it needs to be relocated, don't hesitate to do so.

Essentially its a game where a team of five friends (seven in the special version) each have to put on a costume out of the available rangers (based on Goranger, complete with the stripes) and then, when cued, each come out behind their curtains and do the roll call. If all of the colors come out with no doubles they win the game.

It sounds simple but here's the clincher, they can't tell each other what colour they'll pick and only have a number of tries before its game over.

Thus only using what they know about their friends will they be able to make their choices.

Essentially it all comes down to teamwork, luck, and not sucker punching your "fellow ranger" when they come out as Momoranger for the fifth time in a row.

Its unsubbed unfortunately but you can get the gist of it pretty quickly.

The punishment aspect isn't really utilized until the Seven Ranger version and even then isn't as painful or embarassing as some Japanese Gameshows I've seen.

Regardless the humor isn't really based on the punishments as much as the actual rolecalls and the results thereof between the groupmates.

For us Toku fans it's especially entertaining to see how many variations of rolecalls (and costumes at some points) they can come up with and, to add to that, the classic Goranger-ish sound effects to go with them.

No, the show is from The Punishment Game.

I know... I know Japanese.... I know what they were aiming for. I'm just stating the fact that Downtown is known for their violent humor. I've been following them for a few years now.

They did something like this before, Downtown, on a another variety show they hosted. Its commonly known as the Baka Rangers, but I think it was Baka Sentai Goranger or something like that. Matsumoto, the bald guy, also did a parody of Goranger with his own family for that show a few years after that.

They love mocking Goranger.
