First look at SYM-BIONIC TITAN!

You know where would be the perfect place to put this Toonami... Oh wait that was canceled so they could get live-action money makers on the air like Out of Jimmy's Head and the CN Real block... I think everyone would fine and overlook it if they just admitted their mistake and brought TOM back. I mean honestly Cartoon Network has impressive line-up of action shows now that could fill out a Toonami block just fine, even without Anime.

Blame it all on the ousting of Jim Samples (he quit over that asinine Aqua Teen Hunger Force bomb scare!), and the rise of Stuart Snyder, who wants to turn CN into another Nickelodeon/Disney Channel by adding more live-action to appeal to teenagers (he thinks cartoons should be strictly for kids). He also canceled a whole bunch of projects in the works (including Craig McCracken's unfinished Cartoonstitute, etc.), and a whole bunch of animators/creators left the network because of his decisions. Snyder is of that hardcore corporate mindset.

At this rate, Sym-Bionic Titan is as good as you're going to get.

Is anyone going to be watching the premiere on Friday? I'm really excited for this show, and early reviews are saying it could be a hit.

I think this show is going to do really well, especially since it's from the creators of Dexter's Laboratory and Samurai Jack.

Having seen this an hour ago, I really enjoyed it! This was definitely worth the wait. I’d say, it’s much better than Genndy’s own Samurai Jack, especially in terms of plot. I really hope the show lives up to its potential in the coming episodes.

The series is basically a mixture of Gou Nagai’s UFO Robo Grendizer and Magne-Robo Ga-Keen (which had a 2-in-1 hero/heroine combo), with other anime and tokusatsu (SPFX) throwbacks. Really dug the Super Sentai-style Red-Ranger soldiers in some scenes!

The animation, character designs, and backgrounds are absolutely gorgeous. The character development is really good, too! As some have pointed out, the hero Lance resembles Grendizer’s hero Daisuke Umon/Duke Freed. I like the other two heroes (the princess and robot) as well! The robot forms are impressive, as is the singular Sym-Bionic Titan.

Everyone can keep their Ben 10s and Generator Rexes; this is a series I can really get into. I think we have a very solid winner with Sym-Bionic Titan! I look forward to more episodes.

I...................... don't know, I'm going to have to wait a little more before I sit down to watch.

I loved Dexter's Laboratory but Samurai Jack annoyed me to utter hell. I'm going to have to wait and see which one it's going to be more like.

I had mixed feelings about Samurai Jack. On the one hand, it had some of the best animation/designs I've seen on TV. On the other hand, story-wise, it just didn't live up to being the epic it was advertised as. The pilot movie was great. But most of the rest of the series never really measured up, as the plot over Jack trying to get back home got painfully predictable in the long run.

I really hope Sym-Bionic Titan lives up to its own potential, because I enjoyed the first episode immensely, and hope it succeeds where Samurai Jack failed in the plot department.
