First Game Ever

Simple enough.. what's the first video game you ever remember playing?

My PC game, and first game ever, is simple enough.. Collosal Caves Adventure. XYZZY for life. I still, to this day, hate that damned treasure stealing pirate.

Arcade games.. no question.. Pac-Man. I don't recall owning Pac-Man with our 5200 for a few months after we first got it.. but Pac-Man was my first Arcade game.

Though in home Console world.. hard to say exactly.. but probably Joust, Frogger, or Pitfall. I don't remember which one was first...

I'm pretty sure it was Pac-Man. It might have been Pong.

Uhm...off the top of my head, my first game was probably Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers for the SNES. DAMN that was one of the best games ever. Of course, I didn't really get into games until I was about 10 or so when one of the best RPGs EVER...Super Mario RPG (Paper Mario = Trash, by the way) came out. My cousin bought it, we played, and have been RPG addicts ever since.

Of course, I lost that cartridge....:bawling: :bawling: So the first game I ever beat was Suikoden in the 5th grade. Took me 60 hours my first try, and I recruited about 90 of the 108 stars. Not TOO bad for an 11 year old. Sadly, I've been letting myself slip. Since then, I've only beaten 20 other RPGs...*sighs* Oh well. That's what happens when start trying to do actual work in school and have goals and stuff...

Mind if we open this up to Vidoe Game Firsts?

Cuz when it comes to the first RPG I ever beat............ DRAGON WARRIOR.

My GOD did I feel proud after I beat that. I remember the world of adventure and imagination that blossomed in my mind while I played that. You didn't need good graphics, cuz they were all in your mind.

I remember going into the Dragon Lord Himself's castle and running back out to level up for days and days and days and days.

After that, I decided to just go for it as if I were about to face Satan himself in Hell.

I whupped his ASS!!!

HARD!!!!!!!

It wasn't even a contest. I mean, my character was just juiced as I'd over estimated DL's power. My God, I fucked that man up! I mean, the big surprise comes when he shifts into his real form and I was like, "OH CRAP!"

Then proceeded to mop the floor with his ass and use his teeth as toothpicks.

Still, the feeling of accomplishment was tremendous. I remember stepping into DWII with even more joy as more detail was revealed. Can't remember what happened tho... either I got stuck, lost it, or maybe the Genesis came out, but I never finished DWII.

I think the first one I played was probably "The Empire Strikes Back" game for Atari 2600. You basically fly around and have to keep shooting the AT-AT Walkers until they change colors, and eventually explode.

First video game I played... something on the Atari. I'm guessing Pong. First video game on the first console I owned, (original Nintendo) Super Mario Brothers (late 80s between the ages of 11 and 14). I grew out of playing video games within few years and didn't begin playing again until I married and the hubby bought a Playstation (1) and the 2nd Tomb Raider game (Dagger of Xian). I've since bought all the TR games for the PS/PS2/PC but unfortunately all I have left are two PS1 games (TR2/TR3) and one PC game (AOD). ::wonders how hard it will be to find the original games or the gold versions...::

same. I dont remember what my first game, ever, was. Some atari game to be sure. My first NES game was Mario Bros and TMNT.
