Just wait till you get to the paraloug where you recruit Emmeryn. Those freakin dark flyers are a PAIN.

It's easier once you manage to dispatch those four Dark Flyers out of the way but man they pack a wallop.

I found it easier to bring someone that can use healing staffs and have him/her use Rescue to get Emmeryn out of the danger zone, and then split your army in half so it can protect both sides of your flank.

I realize I made a mistake marrying the avatar to Lucina. Should have been Tharja.

At the very least, your Morgan should be a beast if Lucina wasn't screwed by RNG.

I beat the game in my first save already but I keep going back, farming skills, supports and trying to max out my characters. I have also taken it upon myself to build my own team of classic Fire Emblem characters from the Spotpass battles you can recruit them with the intention of using them as my Streetpass team.

Just beat it today.

For the Emmery mission I saved her with a Rescue, then sent my Lucina/Avatar duo (I think it was those two) right for the commander, beat it in 4 turns, but lost Virion (I don't use him much anyway) and Noire (a sad loss) in the process.

It was a fantastic game, and I can't wait to start again when I find the time after Tales of the Abyss 3D and some PS3 games.

It took me a few tries but I finally beat it without any deaths and got the recruitable character.

Now, I sort of wish there was a way to replay these spot pass missions in the same file, the buzz I got from having to face off against near MAX level mirror versions of my squad and for the first time ever picking and choosing skills for the entire squad not just one character to avoid getting accidentally killed in one hit... I sort of miss the feeling now.
