[Video Game] Fire Emblem: Awakening.

Yeah, pretty much hard to get at gamestop if you didn't preorder, hence I was luckily able to get mine at Walmart (hell I went back the other day this week to GS and they STILL havent gotten extras).

12 (well really over 24) hours in gameplay later!....still having a blast. Seems the first story arc ends at Chapter 11 (surprised me since I thought it would be through all 25) and my Chrom ended up marrying......Sully. Sully of all people xD.

So it seems I've been told not to level up my characters yet till they tap out to 20 in order to acquire skills that will be useful in the future/not available when u switch classes. Well, Lissa and Maribelle kinda suck if they can't attack back so...screw that, I'm upgrading them once they hit lvl 10 xD.

Also, a tip to getting more cash: I'd buy the Golden Gaffe map from the Outrealm gate. Srsly, I went from 26k>96k in half and hour. Totally worth paying for it, and you can play as many times as u like.

Now, just need one map to get more Master Seals

*bump*

27 gameplay hours later....

Man, I haven't been THIS invested in a handheld game in YEARS.....minus pokemon lol

The Golden Gaffe in the Outrealm Gate, if you have a few backs you can spare, GET. IT. It will bring you SO much cash. I went from 26k>96k in half an hour when I got it. So worth it.

I'm still only at Chapter 16. I've been grinding using the reeking box and Breeding to get children.

Ign has a breakdown on which people you should pair up: http://www.ign.com/wikis/fire-emblem-awakening/Marriage_and_Children

If you're too lazy, here's a picture, Minor spoilers btw.:

So yeah, most of my party is already in their advanced job. I'm pretty much just grinding the children (I feel dirty for saying that >.>) so once I'm done with that I'll continue on with the Story more.

Bought the Golden Gaffe Pack for $6. I've only gotten around to playing Golden Gaffe and EXponential Growth but it was worth it.

My first save file goes up until the Endgame but I bought this one to aide in building my Hard/Casual run because I wanted to see some of the second generation characters I miss on the first run. I leveled up 2/3 of my active roster to the point I have to reclass them into different promoted classes.

The fact that it works on all save files is great although I wonder if I figure if I lose my 3DS I'm screwed but thankfully it works on all save files once you have the Outrealm gate.

Haven't played every Fire Emblem and I sort of prefer the cast of Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn but a few of the characters were awesome and this is probably my new favorite Fire Emblem game based on the mechanics alone. At this point I should have turned off the battle animations but with the support attacks/blocks I wouldn't dare.

I actually managed to find a copy of the game today. The clerk sounded pretty surprised that they actually had a copy, but apparently one of the workers stashed it there without telling anyone and wanted to see if anyone spotted it.

I wasn't actively/desperately hunting for the game, but I had a feeling if I didn't pick it up right then and there, it'll be the last I saw of it.

Well I guess this game is living up to being as good as the internet is saying. It'll be my first 3DS game since I'll be buying the bundle we're getting here in Europe with a 3DSXL and it.

Put off the last chapter a bit since I got busy. I'm now done with the game. Fire Emblem: Awakening, hands down, is one of the best (handheld) games I've ever played.
The last scene after the credits actually made me tear a bit :(
Perfect ending, perfect game.

I'm just at the beginning of the game, but the moment my Avatar spoke (even if it was just in text) I love it. There have been many game that I put down because the player-created character would just stand dumbly to the side while the party interacted (*coughDragonAgecough*), it's nice to have another game like Awakening again.

Yeah I love how they treated the Avatar character in the game. It reminds me a lot of how shocked I was the first time I played Mass Effect, and heard Commander Sheppard's voice.

Most recent Spotpass chapter, A Hard Miracle has me wishing they would have added it into the game proper with a CG cut scene or two but otherwise dramatic stuff.
