Favourite Hero Age Type

Forever Knight

Eye See You
What kind of Hero do you guys prefer?.

The Teen (ie. Kai Ozu), The Older Hero (in the 20's, ie. Tendou), or the Middle Aged Hero (ie. Hibiki, Jun/Nexus)?.

Hibiki was only in his early/mid 30's, I wouln't call that middle aged. Then again, that's just me.

Personally, I prefer "The Older" hero. Considering the difference in maturity level between a teenager and someone in their 20s, it's just more realistic/credible, IMO.

I prefer the 20s-up heroes. I'm especially impressed to see heroes in their 30s, 40s and perhaps even 50s! (When Hiroshi Miyauchi and the like reprise their classic roles in newer specials.) Then, you have the classic Ultra Heroes (at least their now-elderly alter-egos) making a comeback in the new Ultraman Moebius movie! Heroically raising a Beta Capsule, donning an Ultra-Eye and the other things they did in the Glory Days. (Reminds you of someone, doesn't it?) ;)

There are too many kewl/angsty adolescent pretty-teenagers as it is. Enough already! Let's see some more variety.

Depends, if its supposed to be a new hero in terms of the story, the early-mid 20's fit. The Hibiki/Jun style can sometimes be boring because they've "got it all figured out" but there are times when it's given really good spins, I've only ever liked one of the young heros and that's Ren from Nexus.

Teens are retarded (I say that lovingly) and I've grown out of the novelty of having them there for eye candy. 20s to 30s definitely. To me, men are just more entertaining to watch, not some teenager that looks 12.

Who cares? It's all about how they're written and displayed. Spider-Man was a young teen and he was great. Personally I don't think you should start a career in world-saving when you're close to being borderline retirement age.

Yes, but how many of them are milquetoast nerds like Peter Parker? That's a rarity in Japan. It's like all alter-egos have to be "cool" and "hip."

Iron King and Zebraman are better examples, even though they're not teenagers. ;)

I'm prefer the teen attitude why? Because I was 12 when I first saw Mahou Sentai Magiranger and Kai Ozu acted just like me, except for the climbing the pole for a ballon, but I believed in what he said then. That's the only reason I'm here now, that was my first Toku other than the horribly dubbed Lost and Found in translation DT crap.
