Favorite NON Japanese RPG

Mine is easy. Mass Effect. ME is IMO near perfect. Even with the nitpicks some people lay on it, ME is an amazing RPG. Hell it is the REASON I bought a 360.

A close runner up would have to be Elder Scrolls 4 Oblivion. Other than the voice acting issues, they arn't bad just not enough variety, Oblivion is amazing. The music, story, all the quests and missions, everything about Oblivion is amazing.

And finally KOTOR1. KOTOR was simply amazing. It is the all time best Star wars game, and it has an amazing story. Lucas couldn't stink this one up.

I'll second what you said about Mass Effect and KOTOR 1 and 2.

I've been happy with all the Bioware RPGs I've played so far, I also enjoyed Jade Empire.

Fallout 3 was pretty good too

well KOTOR 2 wasn't bioware. I enjoyed KOTOR2, but it was ruined by the ending.

The ending totally sucked. Hell, I wouldn't even call it an "Ending"

I'm waiting for the Team Gizka mod to be done before I play it again, but who the hell knows when that'll be.

Heh yeah. Jade Empire is amazing. I hope bioware makes another.

It's a toss up between Morrowind and Oblivion for me. Buggy as hell, but still really good games.

 

[Skinwalker]

Broken Sword series if they count, amazing adventures.

Otherwise... Not many I've really been interested in or had chance to play yet. Fallout 3 was pretty cool, just as buggy as Oblivion but improved gameplay mechanics, much better leveling system and a more interesting, personal storyline (for half of the game anyway).
