I would have to say these are my picks....

Motorhead- Ace of Spaces - I love Lemmy's growling vocals.

The Southern LA psychobilly band Three Bad Jacks did a great cover of Ace of Spades, you should check it out.

Let's not get carried away! There's a lot of excellent thrash material out there and I'm not sure Metallica even makes it into the equation.

I will definitely check it out.

Ok, as an AC/DC fan, I absolutely hate "You Shook Me All Night Long". Can't stand it. Now, on to the subject at hand. Here are the ones that I love the most:

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G0AGUywHntw"]Slayer - Angel of Death[/ame]: Two words: FUCKING SLAYER!!! Need I say more? No, seriously, Slayer is one of the pioneers of thrash metal. Whenever I hear their music, I just wanna headbang, and get some friends and start a mosh pit.

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cpX-QdG3hgU"]King Diamond - The Family Ghost[/ame]: King Diamond is the embodiment of heavy metal. I mean, just look at the man. All of his songs are amazing, and he's just an inspiration.

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9zInasdz2mg"]Judas Priest - Hell Bent for Leather[/ame]: Hands down, one of my favorite Priest songs.

Heck yeah. The entire Abigail album was amazing. Merciful Fate is also damn good.

I'd have to go with "Fade to Black" from MetallicA or "Victorious March" from Amon Amarth.

I just have wayyyy too many Classic, Power, Speed, Death, and Black Metal songs that I love to really narrow it down. :loltongue:

Im gonna go old school hair metal here and say "Were Not Gonna Take It" by Twisted Sister. This is because is has a good sound to it, it says "Im tired of your **** and Im not taking it anymore", and... well.... It's sung by Dee Fucking Snider. How much more metal can you get?!?

Yeah...I too gotta disagree there. While "Seek and Destroy" is a good song, it's far from being the "best thrash song ever".

I think what needs to be done in this thread is to name fav songs from each Metal sub genre because there is just too many amazing songs to name.

Alright, I probably went a little overboard with the whole Metallica thing, but it is one of the band's best songs :buttrock:
