I'd probably still play my SNES if it wasn't such bitch to set up (screwed up cord) and I *know* I'd still play my PS1 if I hadn't lent it to my sister...Who subsequently lost it. :shakefist

if you have a PS2 and all your PS1 games it wont matter. (At least Sony got the backwards compatible thing down.)
My PS2 is finally starting to make noises and chug while I pay FF12. I might have to go out and buy one of those new, smaller ones... or just bite the bullet and buy a damn PS3. But Im hoping for another 100 dollar price drop.
good man!! At least you didnt give up the one game that mattered. PS1s are pretty damn cheap these days. Might as well pick up a new one. What are they, 40 bucks?
Oh my, I played Atari 2600 when it came out! :O_O: Pitfall, River Raid, Frostbite... I played 'em all. Gosh, I'm getting old.
But for me what was most special on my childhood was NES. Mario Bros 3 is da bomb! I'm lucky enough both my brothers are crazy for old consoles too so we have been collecting everything from Sega. We own everything from Master System to DreamCast. We are only missing a Game Gear now. We recently bought a Nomad (despite the fact we have TWO Genesis consoles) which is my pride and joy.
We also own a SNES, N64, PS1, PS2, Gameboy Pocket, Color, 2 GBA and 2 NDS.
I still play my Dreamcast and N64 from time to time. I wish I never sold off my Genesis when I was younger...can't really remember the reason why, either. :disappoin
