Now that we have Birth’s glorious Driver out of the way, now it’s time for the big guns. Fo’ real. Seriously, this is the largest DX Gun I have on my Rider display, besides possibly the Drake Zecter. The sheer size of this thing is probably one of it’s best points. Having not bought the Medajalibur, I was on the fence about this one. (Now that I got it, I have to go get the sword at some point…completist nature in me.) I have to say I’m glad I did, as this is one hell of a really fun toy.

The package is very much like the Birth Driver, only much larger, and features the Buster, with Birth holding it and firing it on the sides. It also highlights the Medals this comes with Ebi Cell, Sai Cell, and Zou Cell. The back of the box shows how the Medals are inserted into the loader, dropped into the gun, then get shot back to the front and into the loader again. It also shows the Cell Burst feature of the toy.

Like I just said about 10 seconds ago for the average reader, it comes with 3 Cell Medals: Ebi, Sai, and Zou. As you probably guessed, they say this in the O-Scanner:
“Ebi Gin!”
“Sai Gin!”
“Zou Gin!”
For those of you awesome people that got the Birth Driver and the Gorilla Candroid, you can now do “SaGohZo Gin!” and “SasoKaE Gin!” Yes, I made those up. Don’t believe them or I will punch you.

As for the gun itself, it’s huge. At least compared to something like the Trigger Magnum. I know the real Birth Buster is rather large, so this one still isn’t in scale, but it at least FEELS like it could be inscale, unlike the little douche that is the Sasword Zecter. Sorry buddy, tricks are for kids. The design is mostly gray, like Birth, and features a clear and green gashapon capsule in the center, with gold trimming from the loader, to the barrel, and to the loader again, to show the path the Cell Medals take when firing. For those that don’t know, no, this doesn’t fire Cell Medals. In the show, he fires medal shaped blast using the energy from the Cell Medals. So anyway, you load up to six Cell Medals into the loader, and clip it to the top. The Cell Medals drop down into the base of the gun. Then, take the empty clip and attach it to the bottom. From there, you pull the trigger, and a lever launches the Cell Medal through the barrel of the gun, and into the clip. You don’t NEED to have a Medal to fire, but it certainly looks cool if you do. From there, you can detach the clip and reload, or clip it to the front to activate the Cell Burst, an overly dramatic explosion version of the firing noise. Again, you don’t NEED Medals in the clip to do the Cell Burst, but it looks a lot cooler if you do.

As for sounds, there are only three. Standard Fire, CELL BURST, and the Cell Burst Fire. I really can’t go into any more detail because they’re just generic explosion sounds Bandai has used for god knows how long.

Overall, I absolutely love this thing. I didn’t think I would, but I’m certainly glad I ended up buying it. The size is a definite plus, as it’s a gun that actually feels like a gun, unlike something as tiny as the Trigger Magnum. The loading gimmick is REALLY fun to do, even if it can get tiresome at times. But like I said, you don’t need Medals to enjoy the gun, just the gimmick itself. I highly recommend it to people with a bunch of Cell Medals, or just enjoy a good toy gun. If you’re debating about the purchase, my vote definitely goes toward the “Yes!” column, definitely better than the Medajalibur.
