Getting very tired of my Crash Master 5000, I decided to put my credit card to use and actually start earning some credit.

I bought mine a few years back. It's pretty good, though it probably needs a little overhaul. (No, I don't have the money to buy a new one. The one I got is nice. Althought, it doesn't have a restart button or a 7 in 1 memory card reader.)

Very cool.

Seems I've got a Crash Master 5000 as well. XD Although, I have to wait another year, until college, to get a new computer. But, great for you Keith! :D

:shakefist

I hear these rigs are pretty sweet and reliable.. :P

Which is why at our business (remember I own a computer store) we typically see about 100 a month. The ram and the hdd typically go bad and we have to replace the ram with a higher quality and/or the hdd. In other cases, it's the motherboard that goes bad within the first six months. By the end of one year, most have had one or more hardware problems including but not limited to monitor problems and/or AC outlet problems (the area you plug the power cord into typically "breaks").

The HP, Toshiba and even Gateway laptops are more reliable then Dell's. We hardly see HP laptops. I think right now we only have two in the shop to repair and one of them is my daughter's because the twins removed the keyboard buttons (which requires the replacement keyboard at $150). As for Toshiba and Gateway... I can't recall the last time we had anyone bring in a Toshiba or Gateway for repairs. Oh wait... I do remember... the last Toshiba was about six months ago but it was a high end laptop at a retail cost of around $3,000, it needed just a new stick of ram.

Why didn't you tell me this earlier? :disappoin

So long as you bought an extended warranty, you'll be fine in repair costs.
