Last half of season 7 is about to start and the mystery of Clara Oswin Oswald is about to begin.

That was a great romp

[hide]...although it again suffers from being a one-parter, I would have marked like crazy if the cliffhanger had been The Spoon-Doc ambushing Clara.

The jab at twitter was understandable given Moffat's dealings with it in real life, the notion all of the Wi-Fi uploaders had lost years of their life to the Great Intellgience went from the amusing to the downright saddening at the end.

If you nipped out for a coffe during the first five minutes, the episode title will make no sense.

Amy Williams made a mint for herself as an author. Move over JK Rowling.

Nice that Clara has a groundedness to her, she wants to travel with The Doctor and still tend to that family she works for, which she can juggle because The TARDIS is a time machine

So the questions pile up...namely who sent Clara The Doctor's phone number?[/hide]

So many questions for us but hope Moffat can answer those questions by the time Series 7 is over.

And I'll love one of those anti-grav device...

Only one women could have a phone number the Doctor didn't even know he had.

And so the Great Intelligence now has a face. Safe to assume we'll be seeing more of him this season? What I want to know is why is GI seemingly becoming a major Who villain when from what I heard it took Moffat some convincing to get this new Ice Warrior episode? Ice Warriors > GI and not just because their serials are still intact.

Shop girl? Rose Tyler?

I felt pretty bad for the woman at the end. It was really heartbreaking to see her in that mental state, and implied a lot about how much of a monster the GI is.

Fantastic episode; one of the best I've seen in a while.

Simple answer is the GI inspires terror through mind manipulation and is something omnipotent, shapeless, and externally powerful, Moffat thought the Ice Warriors were clunky and not in the least bit intimidating.

This being a Talk UP thread, you really don't need spoiler tags.

And yeah, the first thing that came to mind about "the shop girl" was that it was Rose Tyler.

I think there'll be more to the being in the WiFi than meets the eye. Likely a classic villain. I actually wondered if it was David Tennant somehow.

I liked that it was a one shot. A fun way to just kick stuff off without the frustration of watching an incomplete adventure.

I REALLY like how much it is once again about the Doctor and a companion. I can't stress enough putting aside time to make Rory look cool took away from the fun.

The Great Intelligence is indeed a classic series villain. It combated the Second Doctor in the serials "The Abominable Snowmen" and "The Web of Fear", though canonicly the first Doctor it faced was Eleven in "The Snowmen"

Come on Keith keep up. The show is only 50 years old.

That's interesting then. The first two of these season dealt with crazy snowmen and this one dealt with the word wide web. I wonder if this is coincidence or on purpose.....
