Do kids even watch Power rangers anymore?

Seeing as not everyone has digital cable and with all this stupid crap being

spit out from every direction, do you think kids even care about power rangers

like we do/ used to. and reading things from non-boards and just listening to

people in everyday life, it doesn't seem that way. On top of that i know many

people with younger siblings who hate power rangers, and thats mostly because

their elders told them not to like it.

anyone know the percentage of kids liking the show nowadays ?

I know for sure that my godson (13) and his brother (5) like it. And even better is that they're also gaining an appreciation for the original sentai versions (I've been showing them toku/sentai when they come over to visit :thumbs: ).

The toys are selling pretty well so I'd imagine the show is being watched in some capacity by the kids.

Man, every time I go to target in the toy section I see most of the kids looking at the Naruto, transformers, or whatever super hero movie toy is out. I don't see kids looking around at the PR toy section.

yeah!, thats exactly what i do. i show my brother kamen rider and sentai also.

We watch go-onger and kiva together every saturday on TVU. it's cuz it's like

a routine. fortunately he's knowing and loving sentai/ toku everyday.

what i love most is that, even though he's young, it makes him alot more mature for his age. he respects everything about it, and he gets into it like i do and he tries to figure things out, as to why and what is going to happen.

My four nephews watch Power Rangers whenever they can.

They also like watching Go-onger, which is kinda annoying when you're trying to do something and they're all 'oh there's the green car! oh who's that evil one?'. We watch it raw and sub too. One of them can recognize the OP and the ED, to the point of rushing to the computer whenever he hears it (even if it's winamp/audacious playing the go-onger single xD).

I had shown them before the first episode of Geki, but they didn't like it that much. I suppose the first episode of Geki isn't really something you'd show to the average 10-years-old with a short attention span. (lol run-on sentence)

Once Go-onger finishes and they're capable to read english subtitles, I guess I'll show them Boukenger. They can get the gist of it by watching it raw or english subbed, but it'd be awesome if they could understand the story. It'd certainly save me from having to explain whatever's happening on-screen, lol

Yeah, I'd say they do, my nephew is big into it, and I babysit him on the weekends sometimes and we're always watching the tapes and DVD's(PR and Toku). I let him play with the toys (I know some are like collector hors, but I get more joy out of seeing them get played with and not collecting dust in the boxes) practice our henshin/morphing poses together. I love being the cool aunt. :buttrock:
