Ok, I just turned on the TV to watch some Ninja Turtles, and I saw a commercial for this one cartoon that for some reason is premiering today.
However, this cartoon looked EXACTLY like that Dinosaur stuff I saw in Japan. From what I can recall, it was some sorta arcade game by SEGA that for some reason was really huge in Japan.
So it turns out, after doing some research, this thing is actually a cartoon?! That was dubbed in English for 4Kids?! WTF?! WHY WAS I NOT INFORMED?!?!?!! :sparta!:
Sorry if this post is a little rushed. I'm typing this during a commercial break. Funny thing how the cast of this show sounds EXACTLY like the cast in Pokemon.
LOL! There's even a "Henshin" sequence for the dinosaurs! LOLOLOLOLL!
I don't think it was a lame edition of Pokemon, because that concept for some reason is really overused in Japanese anime. That's also not 4Kid's fault, since I assume that anime was already in Japan to begin with before 4kids dubbed it. But I see what you mean. I got pretty pissed when Digimon had "trainers", when all it was was a remake of Tamagotchi for boys. I liked that one season when they "Henshin"ed to the Digimon themselves. Yeah it was pretty retarded idea, but I for some reason liked it.
Seriously though, I only assumed this was some arcade game in Japan. I found some plush toys of them in a SEGA "Amusement Park", some origami paper with it's title, and the arcade game. It looked a lot like this one arcade game I always saw next to it. It was like a 3D beetle fighting game that was played like rock, paper, scissors. :anime: Oh yeah, and paired with that was some other arcade game geared towards girls. I had the slightest idea what these things were all about.
There's probably some 3D beetle anime too.
That arcade game is Mushi King I believe...wich translate to...Beetle King -.- and I think it's made by SEGA toys too, same principle with the code bar cards and all.
