Dengeki Sentai Changeman

How is it out of place? This is, after all, a discussion thread for the show, and that's certainly something to discuss.

Anyways, I'm not downloading. I'm eager to see Changeman, but they said more was coming this week, so I'll wait till Friday or so before I get anything. I hate episode ones, after all.

Even if it'll probably be a long while?

Anyway, Even though I've just downloaded Boukenger EP 17, I'm gonna download TV Nihon's sub of Dengeki Sentai Changeman. I've always wanted to see Changeman (even though I've got some episodes in Portugese but I'm not sure if I got round to watching them yet..).

I'd loooooove R2 Changeman. Stupid Toei...if my guesses are correct, Changeman will be on DVD in 2009.

They release two titles a year; forwards from the oldest shows, backwards from the newest. For some reason, they jumped ahead and released Jetman out of their usual pattern, while they haven't even released Battle Fever J, so there's no telling whether or not they'll skip ahead or toss BFJ in there at some point. But, with what their pattern has been, he's a guess...

'06 -- Goggle V (just announced), Megaranger (finishes up)

'07 -- Dynaman, Carranger

'08 -- Bioman, Ohranger

'09 -- Changeman, Kakuranger

'10 -- Flashman, Dairanger

'11 -- Maskman, Zyuranger

'12 -- Liveman, Fiveman

'13 -- Turboranger

:nono:

I know it's a long wait, but I don't care, because:
- Nothing beats the quality of the crisp-clear DVD's
- I HATE subs popping up all over the screen with flashy colors. Really ruins my viewing pleasure
- Always interested to see what (if any) extra's they toss on the DVD's
- I like the cool covers :anime:

Besides, I hardly have time to watch everything I own on DVD as it is, so no harm in waiting to get those since it'll give me time to finish watching the series I still need to watch

My goodness!!

Wonder if they're gonna skip Battle Fever J? And I hope they don't, coz Battle Fever J looks like an awesome series.

I heard Battle Fever J was aired in Hawaii back in the 70's. If they re-air Battle Fever J like they did with Kikaida and Kamen Rider V3 and they release it on DVD, then I'll probably be tempted to buy it, if Toei don't.

Otherwise I'll might have to force myself to buy the DVD-Rs, even though I promised myself never to do that again.

EDIT: Oh, and I just downloaded and watched TV Nihon's Changeman, and it looked pretty cool!!

What do you mean by 'even though'? Are your downloads limited or something? I'm not sure why Bouken's relevant.

Its amazing how those who don't need subs to watch are usually the only ones to say this. Personally I despise the evil yellow subs I get with most stuff I buy on DVD. (Well, concerning Toku at least.)

Anyway, if '09's a correct guess for the R2 release of Changeman, I should hope Changeman will be fully subbed (along with several other Sentai) by then. That said....no way I drop 500 bucks for an official release in which I'm not only not the target audience but I won't even be able to understand and will need a special DVD player to watch, when they're coming out with the same show fansubbed.
