Dengeki Sentai Changeman

Er...

I'm just saying!! :P

So what did you think RSR?

Personally when I started watching it, the first episode felt rushed because in most Sentai series I've been watching, not EVERYTHING gets used in the first episode as in the Poer Bazooka and ChangeRobo. Like in GoGoV, GaoRanger and ZyuRanger, VictoryRobo, GaoKing and Daizyujin don't appear in the first episodes. :P

I always like to watch the series from the first episode and onwards, just to follow the story n stuff..

Changeman looked pretty good!! I found the begginning bit funny, where they were training and the guy in the helicopter shot them with his gun for being lazy, and this guy with the long hair wanted to quit because he was promised that there wouldbe girls waiting for him, but discovered it was a lie.. :P

Uh...I think you misunderstood that part a bit. He was saying that he joined the military to impress women, but he wouldn't be able to impress in his current state.

I can't remember much of the first episode but from the way the characters grew....I'm saying Griffin said that yeah? xD

Yeah, that's what I meant..

I've seen a lot of live performances of the OP of this song, and I also have the OP of the song in my iPod, and some people claim that this is the best Sentai of the 80's.

I have but one question about this series, though, and I apologize if this question sounds opinionated (AND rather n00bish), however, I must ask this question, no matter how opinionated it sounds.

What makes this sentai the best sentai of the 80's? (If this question has to be answered with spoilers, please hide it.)

Ah.

Even though I like romance as much as the other people... Straight-up badass Toku sounds right up my alley. Once I finish Kakuranger, I'll watch Changeman.

And thanks for answering my question, Knight.

Changeman nails the whole military theme. It's everything a sentai should be, right down to the definition. The story is about the tragedy and trauma of war. The group of strangers who unite to fight a common enemy. Not only the team of heroes, but the many allies they encounter throughout the course of the series.

The story's deep and the characters fleshed out; the cast and crew are all respectful of the material. It was a well cast and well acted show, each actor perfectly brings their character to life, and each character is believable in the role. Even the suit actors are well cast, it's one of a handful of shows where you believe that the person in-suit is the same character. The villains all have depth, a history with one another -- they're not mustache-twirlin', evil-for-the-sake-of-it stock characters.

The designs by Yutaka Izubuchi are amazing; action by Junji Yamaoka breathtaking (he was intent on making the actors do as many of their own stunts as possible); the music by Tatsumi Yano is simply the best.

AND it's bad-ass.
