Dengeki Sentai Changeman

Just curious as to why Dragon returned dressed in the odd costume?

Because he could, that's how cool Tsurugi is! The monster of the week had all of Changeman's moves memorized, so he took them by surprise by posing as someone different altogether (since he was thought to be dead).

Who was the Ghost looking creature that appeared in the beginning ep #38?. It seemed to catch Ahmes attention quite quickly.

Did you miss an episode? That's the ghost of Guiluke. In the end of 33, the Changeman blast him with Power Bazooka and before he dies, Bazuu takes him and tosses him into a blackhole known as "the Graveyard of Space," as he kept threatening to do to Guiluke if he failed again. Ahames took over Guiluke's position, not to mention she pretty much cheated him by going against him to get the Rigeru Aura herself, so she's not too comfortable with Guiluke's ghost appearing to torment her.

I just realised it was Gilukes' Ghosts. I accidentley skipped an ep because the Super Human who sent me my DVDs fucked up the burning process and decided to be "special".

Wow, **** is really picking up.

Complete eps 40-45 last night and I had a few questions.

1. What was up with that weird robotic device from that Gingerbread house?. I didn't get why the Changeman were protecting it.

2. Who exacally was that Icarus guy? At first I thought he was a different form of Bazuu. Why did he go all weird when he say Saiaka? did she remind him of his late wife before their planet was destroyed by Bazuu or something?.

3. So Nana gets the Super Power sucked from her by Ahmes, gets an adult form, and then lives among Human beings? why?.
I really enjoyed the scene where she was remembering when Tsurugi saved her before and then the current time. Awesome stuff.

4. So ANOTHER girl Tsuguri saved as a child returned to visit him or something but he was stuck in his Dragon suit. Why was his unable to dehenshin?. I swear I got vibes of those 10 DinoThunder Tommy in suit episodes.

5. How was Gilukes able to return from the dead? I thought he was just a ghost?. I take it he drained the remaining super power from Nana to become Super Gilukes?.

I also need to say Super Gilukes looks freakin' awesome. Kinda reminds me of He Man's Hordak character.

It was a harmless mechanism from a destroyed planet that fell to Earth. It also...made candy (Gozma wanted it because the monster of the week was able to make a toxic gas out of the food the robot created). Hey, it was one of the lighter episodes.

Who exacally was that Icarus guy?

From yet another planet Bazuu conquered, taken when he was a child, he was raised as Bazuu's son. His mother died while helping Icarus and the monster Bora get out of harm's way as the planet was being destroyed. Sayaka looked identical to his mother, so that became his weak point. He wanted to take Sayaka as his wife and restore his planet. A bit screwy there, but I think the writer was going for Greek tragedy...

So Nana gets the Super Power sucked from her by Ahmes, gets an adult form, and then lives among Human beings?

That's no different than when she was still a kid -- after her intro episodes, she decided to just stay on Earth and was later taken in by that family (that she had to abandon once she "grew"). I don't know if she gives a real reason for staying, I guess she thinks it's safe now that there's no Rigeru Aura so the bad guys won't bother her again (she's wrong about that).

So ANOTHER girl Tsuguri saved as a child returned to visit him or something but he was stuck in his Dragon suit. Why was his unable to dehenshin?

He didn't know she was an alien, though, he thought he was just being a good citizen and helping someone out! The girl's skin was colored with colored stripes and the monster of the week absorbed them for her to blend into society as she went to find Tsurugi (she wanted to find him because she remembered how he helped her when those other kids were beating her help when she was on Earth years ago when her ship crashed. She now wants him to help her planet). Meanwhile, the monster fought with Tsurugi and fired the girl's coloring onto Dragon, so they'd attach to Tsurugi. For some reason, with Tsurugi now not his same self and wearing the colored stripes, the Dragon suit wouldn't dematerialize.

Ahames came up with this nutty plan, realizing that sooner or later the power of the suit being constantly worn would cause physical harm to Tsurugi (not to mention he's unable to eat) and kill him. My favorite part of the episode the girl is played by Yellow Flash and there was a cameo by Yutaka "Wanda/Kempu/Toranza" Hirose as a soldier.

How was Gilukes able to return from the dead?

While the Rigeru Aura only emits itself from the girls of Nana's planet once in their life, sneaky old Guiluke decided to perform a black mass in order to force even more out of her, nearly killing her. He obviously managed to extract more, becoming Super Guiluke, and now he's going to settle some scores. Super Guiluke's my favorite of Guiluke's designs and it seems to me that the actor certainly enjoys that one the most.

That was actually a smart plan. I also noticed Dr.Kemp/Toranza as the Soldier with the gun that was literally bent to **** by the Alien Girl.

Ah, so that's what all that Black Magic Voodoo chants were that Giluke's was doing. Some pretty dark stuff. Did Bazuu merge Giluke with the rock beast when he was sent to that Graveyard which ended up giving Dead Giluke's that fucked up looking form?.

The rock beast had already been banished to the "graveyard of space" by Bazuu previously and once Guiluke was there, Guiluke merged himself with the supernaturally-powered beast to be able to return to Earth as a ghost. He was only able to physically manifest himself for a very short period on Earth and always had to retreat, which he became fed up with and decided to become Super Guiluke.

Watched #46-47

What was up with Super Giluke's turning Sheema back to her true form and not making her evil anymore?. What is Giluke's agenda here?.

I'm seriously diggin' how Tsurugi would protect her anyway even punching Hayate in the face. This guy is seriously becoming my all time favourite Sentai hero. He is a true fucking hero. The definition of Superhero in my mind right now is ChangeDragon.

The Green monster's son is halarious. The costumes are serious jokes but the episode where the son is looking for the father was so freakin' dramatic I couldn't help but love it. How come the Green guy just vanished from his family again? does he really think that Seioh Zabuu is gonna keep his word?. He mine aswell just grab his family and try to flee.

Next episode looks like it's about Booba. I gotta say Shougo I'm a bit dissapointed with you. You failed to mention that Changeman would produce FUCKING AWESOME EPISODES one after another after another after another after another and yes after another. :169: It's just so consistant that it gets my nipples hard sometimes.

I could have told you that WEEKS before I recieved the series. He's the only know who knows 100% what the **** is gwanin' in the series anyway.

Just wait until I get to the Flashman thread too. MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHUAHAHHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH.

*stops laughing*
<blank stare>
**runs off**
**trips on some grass**
**gets up and runs again**

Sorry I just woke up.

He didn't really do that, it just happened once he (and the monster of the week) fired at Shiima in response to her attacks, the force of it caused her to lose her memory. Always a step ahead, Ahames decides to take advantage of it by letting the team get close to Shiima and they'll manipulate her into attacking them when the moment's right. It almost works... I liked that Griffen was the first to recognize the woman was Shiima and the first to show his suspicion -- he fell into similar traps twice, he should know!

"Nobody escapes from Gozma." Gator most likely knows that it would be useless and it would probably cause his family harm if he retreated with them. Gozma's already irritated with him as is that his family pesters him, even if the Gozma do benefit by working them into their plans. He foolishly believes that Bazuu would reward him once successful in taking over Earth, but Gator's son knows that Bazuu's the wrong guy to back and begins to shun his father after he learns that Gator's just a cowardly yes-man (I don't think you hit that episode yet).

Anyway, doesn't Gator's son look like the youngest kid from Home Improvement?

That's a very cool episode.

Well, IMO, it just gets better and better starting with 48, going into one explosive finale. What surprises me is that you like the episodes about the Gator family -- I thought you'd think they were too lighthearted or sappy, slowing the pace of the final episodes or something.

Just wait until I get to the Flashman thread too.

That can be in a thread called "Ask Basri Endless Flashman Questions." :P
