Dealing with RAW Spoilers

When it comes to the newest show stickies, I enter it knowing I'm entering at my own risk. Sometimes, even w/ the subs I get way behind. For example, because I wait to put episodes on a DVD, I'm always 3-4 episodes behind the people who watch subs. And WAY behind the RAW watchers. So I enter the Talkback's at my own risk, knowing fully well I'm way behind from what other people are watching.

Now spoiler tags are cool, and god bless the people that use them all the time. But I've never been that upset when I've accidently read something I didn't know about a show. HELL it happened to me by something Keith said about Kabuto in this very thread!

CRAP! >_O

But I don't think we need to split the forums or anything. People just need to be more aware that
1) If you're behind the people who watch RAWS...you might be spoiled w/ upcoming things you don't want to know
2) If you're behind the sub watchers...you are GONNA be spoiled like it or not.
So keep that in mind when entering the talkbacks.

My suggestion is, if it's a heavy plot point, or something about a character, or something that really effects the story. It just be conciderit for the RAW watchers to post that info in a spoiler tag. So it doesn't "ruin it" for the sub watchers that are comming up behind them.
If it's been out sub'd though...well, you're on your own.

That's just my $1.10

Btw, didn't mean to make a big deal out of it. With the growing number of other Toku shows out there, I was thinking about dividing the forum anyway. Thought the need for raw folk to be able to talk unhindered and the sub folk to be able to discuss without fear would be another good reason to step up the division of the forums.

That's all.

Doesn't matter if I was spoiled. Like I said, I know I'm way behind in my Toku watching, so I enter and read posts about Toku shows at my own risk. It's not like when SW Ep.III was comming out and I was doing every thing I could to avoid spoilers.

what's the code forspoiler tags? The one where you click and the spoilers show up?

<spoiler> </spoiler>

That's the tag.

Anyway, I think some people are being a little too nice as far as spoilers. If the new sub comes out, give everyone a day or two to download it. After that, if you wander into the thread without having downloaded? Sorry dude. That's your fault. Same for RAW watchers who are behind. Being behind on something because you haven't gotten around to downloading it means you should know not to wander into a discussion thread about it. On the other hand, in the case of being behind raw watchers....what choice do you have, really?

Yeah, the "HIDE" button is a nice addition.

I'm fine with using Spoiler Tags, I use them for half the stuff I post anyway unless I'm either coming in to a discuss late after a bunch of other people have already seen the episode, or in the case of Ultraman Max I stopped using spoiler tags after a while because, honestly, how many people here watched that show besides me?

Well I was one of the spoilers. I will stop though since I know about the hide tag now. Any ways I didn't think I was spoiling, because i thought the kabuto thread was for talking current aired eps and not sub eps,but if it's not. My mistaken and I'm sorry.
