Curious PR question

Okay, I'm watching this Jetix Soccer Marathon (really just waiting on the new MF episode), and they had this episode where Ethan deals with some school bully. Totally stupid episode, but I do have a question: Ethan's shown himself to be a very capable martial artist WITHOUT his powers (DT excelling in unmorphed hand-to-hand fights is one of the few reasons I tolerate Conner), so why does everyone (including his ranger "pals") act like he wouldn't stomp some soccer-playing chump? Come to think of it, why do most rangers when unmorphed act like they can't fight worth **** against non-monster opponents? I'm not saying use their unmorphed powers, but most Rangers mid-way through the series *are* somewhat capable martial artists (and in the case of the DT Core Three, have been trained by one of the greatest martial artists in the PR Universe)--so why do they act like clumsy idiots?

Because it's a bad message to kids if their favourite Heroes goes and kick some bully's ass. Even if it's in defence.

<Ms. Herpes> Dickie, Why did you kick Herman for?.
<Dickie> I had to kick his ass because he called me a name so I had to defend myself just like Ethan did in Power Rangers.
<Dickie's Dad> Time to complain to Disney.

The best was in the MMPR pilot, The Teens totally fucked up Bulk, Skull, and the other Punks. :buttrock:
