FF11 Final Fantasy and RPG question..please help i'm confused!!!?

I own final fantasy XII, and i hate the way combat happens. is this called turn-based combat, or is that something different? if so, what is turn-based combat? Do all the final fantasy games (for ps2) use the same sort of combat as FFXII, or are they better? Slim Select Keto
Update: Do any final fantasy games for ps2 have real-time combat... That is, are they ALL turn-based?

All final fantasy games before 15 are turned based combat.Turn based combat is basically a visual version of a chess game. It's more appealing to people who likes to play with logic and smarts. Maybe a shooter game like fortnite is more suitable for you.
