CRKD Reveals New Themed Controllers

CRKD makes third-party controllers like the Neo S, a cross-compatible controller for consoles and PC, and the Nitro Deck, a Switch controller that replaces the Joy-Cons on the regular model and adds a few new features. Until now, these products didn’t have goats on them. CRKD has announced a limited-edition line of Neo Ses and Nitro Decks with designs themed after the Goat Simulator series of games. The colorful designs evoke the games and come with matching docking stations. They emphasize that this is not an April Fool’s joke, but it’s not that far-fetched that something like this would be real. People love their simulated goats, and there’s probably a market for controllers that emphasize that love. “Finally fans of goat-based video games have a G.O.A.T. controller to call their own,” says Greg Baverstock, VP of Global Business Development for CRKD. “As this is a limited-edition line of hardware, we thought long and hard about our goat-to-market strategy, meaning that Goat Simulator fans can only purchase the new line of hardware directly from Crkd.gg. We’re delighted to work with our friends at Coffee Stain North on our new range of Goat Simulator based controllers, which turns up the bleat for […]

This is a smart marketing move by CRKD. The Neo S and Nitro Deck are already solid controllers, and collaborating with Coffee Stain North ensures they tap into a dedicated fanbase. While Goat Simulator is a niche game, it has a cult following, and the humor around it aligns well with CRKD’s quirky branding. I’m curious if the controllers offer any functional differences beyond aesthetics. Also, the Linkin Park controller’s extra buttons sound intriguing—could be useful for rhythm games beyond Fortnite Festival.

A Goat Simulator controller? That’s hilarious and kind of awesome! I never thought I’d see the day when someone made hardware themed around chaotic goats, but I guess anything is possible now. I already own a Nitro Deck, but if these designs are cool, I might just get one for the novelty. Also, didn’t expect to hear about Linkin Park in 2025, but I guess they’re still going strong.

This feels like another gimmick to sell controllers without actually improving them. I get that themed hardware can be fun, but unless these controllers have better ergonomics, better battery life, or something actually useful, I don’t see why I’d buy one. Limited edition just means they’ll jack up the price, and fans will rush to get one before they sell out. Also, Fortnite Festival getting its own controller with extra buttons makes sense, but a Goat Simulator one? Feels unnecessary.

This is the greatest news I’ve ever read! Goat Simulator deserves all the love it gets. It’s ridiculous, fun, and now I can play it with a controller dedicated to the experience. I hope they went all out with the design—maybe put a goat face on the buttons? If this also comes with some in-game bonus content, that would be even better. Either way, I’m getting one!

The Linkin Park controller is what caught my eye. It’s cool to see them still making music and even more interesting that they’re integrated into Fortnite Festival. I wonder if the extra buttons make a big difference for playing rhythm games. If it works well with other titles like Clone Hero, it could be a great alternative for those who miss Guitar Hero and Rock Band.
