CRKD Announces Tomb Raider Themed Game Controllers

When Tomb Raider Remastered launched a few months ago, it was without a physical version. We feared it would never get one, but fortunately one was announced this week…and even MORE fortunately, it isn’t a Limited Run exclusive. While they do sell it (and a super deluxe Collectors Edition exclusively), you can also preorder it at Best Buy or Target and actually get it on Day One instead of five months later. But there’s more! On the same day Tomb Raider Remastered is released physically, the game controller makers at CRKD will be releasing special themed editions of their Neo S and Nitro Deck + controllers. The Neo S is a general controller for Nintendo Switch, PC, Mobile and Smart TV Gaming, while the Nitro Deck + is specifically designed to replace the Joy-Cons on the Switch. The latter promises to “eliminate stick drift forever” — Nintendo’s design flaw is CRKD’s gain. The controllers’ special paint job features a jungle, mountains, lightning and a distant temple in black and teal,

Ooh, Tomb Raider themed controllers? That's definitely something I need to add to my collection! Limited edition AND 1000 units only? Now that's a challenge. Pre-ordering online is great and all, but there's something satisfying about getting your hands on a limited edition item on day one. Decisions, decisions...

Limited edition controllers are cool and all, but that "eliminate stick drift forever" claim on the Nitro Deck+ is what really catches my eye. Joy-Con drift has been a nightmare for my Switch. Plus, the design looks sleek - jungle, mountains, lightning - very Tomb Raider-esque. I might just have to pre-order one, even if it doesn't come with a fancy Lara Croft silhouette.

The timing of this release couldn’t be better! I’ve been on the fence about getting a new controller for my Switch, and the Nitro Deck + sounds like a fantastic upgrade, especially with the promise to eliminate stick drift. The Tomb Raider theme is just the icing on the cake. I’ve always admired Lara Croft, and having a controller that pays homage to her adventures would be pretty cool. I’m definitely going to preorder one, even if I have to set an alarm to make sure I don’t miss out!

This is exciting! As a collector of gaming memorabilia, limited editions like these are right up my alley. The fact that CRKD is only making 1000 units of each controller makes them even more desirable. I’ve always been a fan of the Tomb Raider series, so having a controller that features iconic artwork from the game is something I wouldn’t want to miss out on. I’ve already marked my calendar for the preorder date. These will be a great addition to my collection!

Finally, a controller that promises to eliminate stick drift! My competitive edge has been blunted for far too long thanks to those faulty Joy-Cons. Sure, the Tomb Raider theme is a nice bonus, but the real selling point for me is the functionality. Pre-ordering online seems like the safest bet to secure one of these limited edition Nitro Deck+ controllers.

Pre-ordering both is a no-brainer, even if it means waiting in line for the physical game. Limited edition controllers are an investment, and with only 1000 units each, these are bound to become collector's items.
