I wonder how much the film will deviate from the comic. The main character in the comic found a ray gun with different settings.

I hope they have the part where the Indians ride their flying horses to battle.

They laughed when I was there too, but right at the end... I seriously think they were just laughing at the name. Seemed into the rest of the trailer though. The name is what makes it seem silly, to see this super serious "COWBOYS & ALIENS" sweep onto the screen. The same movie called "TAKEN" or "DOOMSDAY" or "ROUNDUP" would fair alright... well, maybe not so much the last one, but you get my point.

Same at my showing of HP7. It was mainly at the title where the laughing was. I even heard "can't they come up with a better name."

Which was kinda what I was thinking too, but then I thought the trailer was awesome. Mainly because of Harrison Ford

The same people who are fanboys and fangirls of whatever is put in front of them from a franchise were laughing at something they did not understand. They were watching Harry Potter. I bet you the same thing would happen if it was shown in a Twilight movie.

From some comments on other boards people who saw the trailer attached to Harry Potter in the audience called it "stupid" or laughed

I saw the trailer attached to DH pt.1 and I really liked what I saw. The rest of the audience laughed and called it stupid because of the title

People in my theater clapped really hard during the trailer but they did laughed at the title

everyone at my showing laughed at the end of the trailer when cowboys and aliens showed up.

Same here, Thinkton. I even heard some people saying "That's stupid!" and such. I hope people will still see it and not just skip it because they don't like the title.

I'm kind of worried. The movie seems to be taking a serious approach akin to "War of the Worlds" but the general audience might assume from the title it will be a funny action adventure movie.
