Could Selena Gomez be...

What the heck? Why?

Yolanda Salvidar met Selena in the early 90s asking to start a fan club and she was granted her wish by Selena's father Abraham. Over time the two became friends and Yolanda became not only in charge of the Selena Fan Club but the book keeper and manager for Selena's boutiques: "Selena Etc." While she was doing both, she began impezzling money from both and got caught when fans began complaining that they weren't receiving their packets they paid for or something like that. Selena and her family confronted Yolanda about it and stated that "she had no idea what happened but she'd find out" or something to that effect. The family told her to find the documents and she agreed sometime mid-March, Selena personally fired Yolanda. Though she was fired, she continued to work because there were papers missing and also in that time she bought a gun "for protection".

On March 30, Selena and her husband Chris went to Yolanda's hotel room in Corpus Christi to get the missing paperwork. When they got home though, they found out that some of the papers were still missing. On March 31, in the early morning Selena got up and went to face Yolanda again and presumed the last time. When they met however, Yolanda told her she had been raped in Monterey, Mexico and needed to go to the hospital and in her usually humble fashion, Selena took her. At the hospital, they found no signs of rape and the two returned to the hotel (Days Inn - Room 158) with an argument between the two ensuing soon after. Basically, Selena told her she wanted the missing papers and that she couldn't trust her anymore. Yolanda was highly upset and when Selena decided to leave, Yolanda pulled out the gun, first pointing at herself, telling Selena that if she left, she'd shot herself but instead of listneing Selena decided to go get help for her. When she opened the door to leave, Yoland pointed the gun at Selena and shot her in her right shoulder.

Assuming to be shocked among other things that were racing through her body, Selena ran with all her might to the lobby to get help, leaving behind a trail of her own blood (She ran more then 100 yards). As she tried to run Yolanda came out and tried to shoot her a second time even going so far as to call her "Bitch!". Fortunately, she didn't get the chance to shoot her and instead went back into her room. Meanwhile, Selena reached the lobby, collapsing on the floor telling htem "Lock the doors!". As she continued to cry, the clerk called 911. As this was going on, Selena was slowly slipping away and in her last words she cried out to the clerk and all inside "She shot me! Yolanda Saldivar, Room 158!" before falling unconcious. While she was being taken to the hospital, Yoland locked her self in her truck, assuming to try to get away but the police arrived to stop her. As she barracked herself in her truck, Selena died of blood loss at the hospital.

It was said that the doctors were giving her blood but her father detested it since they were Jehovah's Witness. As news broke out of Selena's assasination, Yoland stayed in her truck with her gun to her head shouting she'd commit suicide. at first she said "I killed my best friend!" then she later said "It was an accident." After 9.5 hours, she was detained by police and arrested for murder. While the trial was going on, Selena's crossover album "Dreaming of You" was released and did great in the charts. Her dream had come true but unfortunately she wasn't there to live it. Yoland was found guilty of the murder some months later and sentence to life in prison under isolatoin becuase she was recieving death threats from prisoners that were Selena fans. To this day she continues to say "It was an accident, her concious is clear and that she hated that woman (Selena)." Yolanda will be eligable for parole on March 30, 2025.

every year on the day of her death they make a special about it hosted by her parents, as if it was a holiday or somthing.

I don't think it's a holiday whereas a celebration but not of her death, rather her life and possibly more then that her fans. I don't remember them doing specials on March 31 except once time in 1996. The only time they had a holiday for Selena was April 16, 1995 when George Bush, when he was I think governor of Texas, announced it was "Selena Day".
