[Constantine Movie] What was he doing?

In the movie, close to the end, when Constantine tries to bring the sigils on his hands together, what exactly is he doing? It's never explained i dont think.

He was trying to find the unseen force that killed Chas, but because of the strain of the spell, it didn't work.

We need a reboot, Constantine is an awesome character and they got him completely wrong in the movie. AND they got that plank of wood to play him for some reason.

Is this movie really good? I still haven't watched it yet. Nothing about it seemed interesting to me...

YEah it is. I loved the movie, but it didnt play to the character at all. Shia Lebouf was awesome in it as always, but Keanu Reeves really is a stick in the mud. He had a few good scenes (Flipping off the devil for instance.) But my big problem is all the **** they got wrong.

Why do they do this to Alan Moore's work anyway?

I personally loved the movie for many reasons:

1. Keanu doesn't bother the **** out of me in this movie. He's actually pretty good (for him anyways).

2. It stars my FAVOURITE actress, the beautiful, the talented, the sexy Rachel Weisz.*Droooooooooools* She is sooooo tops in my book.

3. Shia is AWESOME in the movie. He was easily my favourite character, even though he's just kind of a background character.

4. There was no sex between Constantine and Angela. I hate it when a movie forces the two characters together when they just shouldn't have. Constantine and Angela were toying with the idea, which is good, but they didn't just rush out an sleep together.

5. Tilda as Gabriel. AWESOME. LOVED it.
