As a continuation? Meh. I'd rather have a full on reboot if they are going to just have it be part live action.
I have a question. If it's going to be live action, are the CG designs going to be the same as they've been, or will they reflect the actors hired to do the job than the animated versions? I hope they do that instead of doing it like the Sailor Moon show.

Live-Action Cast vid just went up. Kind unsure about the kids playing Odd and Jeremy. Odd looks a bit too young and Jeremy just looks......off
This will not be a very effective transition. Some of the guys look like something out of the Twilight series, the ones that look halfway right still feel like something is missing, and I fear how the supporting actors will be casted...
So......child Odd? This is going to suck, especially since he's supposed to be the same rough age as the others ones.
Ulrich is supposed to be Korean, Aelita looks not impressive by the limited footage, not to mention the hair looks too off. Pink highlights I would not mind, but full blown pink with her eyebrows? I'll have to see her more before I do any more judgement. Jeremy's glasses are too traditional looking and should have been more contemporary styled, plus he looks a bit young.
I was hoping for this:
Notice how the eyebrows aren't weirding me out.
The actor for William should have played Ulrich with the Ulrich actor either playing Jeremy or other character.
But Odd needs to be recast with an older teen that has skater boy written all over him. This kid looks like someone in grade school. But the racebending of Ulrich aside, it might be good....
If they are going for show accuracy, I'd say Aelita, Yumi, and Jeremy are the only ones that really nail it. The others just do not impress me at all. I just don't see the characters in them. I am trying to give Odd some slack because his design isn't something that translates well in live action form, but even so...
Now, if this were a fanfilm, I'd think this was AMAZING. But since it's not, it's going to take some getting use to.
I've heard offhand these are the voices overseas, but not in the States when they release it here. Truth be told, this would go well on Cartoon Network since the want live action....:buttrock:
