Climax Heroes Fourze Showdown!

The past tournaments have had amazing players. I've seen some crazy juggles that I've never even begun to imagine before. There have been many game-changing sidesteps and crossups and I am hoping to see more great players.

At the rate the participants are going up, I may increase the cash prize or at least give consolation prizes.

At the rate the participants are increasing, I may possibly begin the tournament before November.

However I'm still aiming for as many participants as possible to compensate for any possible cancellations.

Bumping again for an important announcement and request.

The tournament will either be taking place between October 25th-October 30th OR November 2nd-November 6th. I deeply apologize for not having a 100% accurate date but that is mainly because we have so many participants and I want to make sure we will have as few cancellations as possible. I want everybody to be able to participate and have fun.

I want to have the tournament before October but I also must consider everybody's Halloween plans. I could just host the tournament in November but I feel that is a little too late. If you have any advice or questions PLEASE feel free to let them out. There are MANY people who want to participate.

Please read the FAQ if you already have not. It is constantly being updated. There are now 52 participants and 8 who are unsure. The cash reward has been bumped up to $600 and preorders of Super Climax Heroes are awarded to 2nd and 3rd place.

Say we already have a preorder of SCH...can we pass it to someone else?

Also I work monday through friday so my participation would have to be on a weekend only.

Other then that I think I am in. UGH....I better start training now. Not to mention getting my options set up right for tourny specs. Got to be a video for that or something right?

No problem.

I will definitely keep that in mind since that probably applies to a lot of people too.

I had pretty much talked myself into KR 1 and 2...but now the Hopper brothers are tempting because of clock up. So many choses! Advice from my rivals!

November's first week is good for me. But I'm not sure about time - In my time zone current tournament time is about 11:00 PM - 5:00 AM. I can say for sure If I will be able to go.

This is my criteria for judging whether or not a Rider should be banned.

-How efficiently can this Rider break an opponent's guard bar?
-Can this Rider break an opponent's guard bar within 2 Rider cancels?
-Does this Rider have a spammable attack that damages the guard bar severely?
-Does this Rider have a move that lets him combo into his finisher?
-Does this Rider have an unblockable move that has little to no delay?

hmm,

both liodias attack(lion head) and the shauta special whip lets OOO combo into a finisher if it connects, it's not that spammable though unless the opponent are stupid enough to let OOO do it, but it DOES have more than your standard melee range, users of exclusively melee attacks like the hoppers or many of the showas might fall into the trap sooner or later if OOO plays a keep away with these babies on the ready.

on top of that, the whip almost instantly breaks guard with only one blocked usage depends on the enemy rider, and liodias takes meter away from the enemy, so even guard vent trading hits for a super confirm might not work against it(zolda or scissors), pretty powerful stuffs if i had to say so...

I noticed that "combo into finisher" seems to be one of the criteria but not enough of a reason by itself to ban characters. Because Amazon, Shadowmoon and Kick Hopper aren't banned.
