Cho Sei Shin Series

Well I gotta say the Chou Sei Shin series are definetly worth checking out. Gransazer I did enjoy but like many people said it has a lot of problems and it was a pain to watch as something on a weekly basis but now that you can get the whole thing all at once it should be quite enjoyable. My favorite so far is definetly Justiriser.

Sazer X i'm starting to like more and more when I first started watching it I was like wtf happened to my Chou Sei Shin series because I didn't like it. Then I realized that the comedy worked really well. It was primarily betwee Blarid and takuto and that has developed quite well. The series gets so much better once the 4th sazer shows up and we get the villains that are Neo Descal rather than the space pirates. So everything does have a purpose. Overall I have to say the series is pretty damn good and keeps getting better but your best bet is to watch them in order I would say.

The Seishin Series are worth checking out as everyone has already said.

[HIDE]I might have missed something, but are you sure it was Naoto and Ryouko at the end? [/HIDE]

Start with GS, then JR, Etc. The GS are somewhat related- if not for the joint Sazer X movie coming out...

For a synopsis of GS:

[HIDE]GS was based on the 12 houses of the Zodiac, with 4 tribes: Earth, Wind, Water, Fire - your basic Captain Planet. They're the ancestors of some ancient race which was wiped out eons ago. Various alien races come to try and re-wipe out Earth. The GS make a last stand to prevent history from repeating itself. There's a lot of subplots etc along the way. It has humor at times, but personally, I liked it. It gets slow a bit in the 30's, as do almost all shows, but then it picks up before and after that. I was pretty satisfied with the ending aside from one thing: a certain couple.[/HIDE]

For a synopsis of JR:
There's already been a pretty good synopsis given. I will say that the character relationships are fleshed out much better and fuller than GS. I liked both series; they each offer their own thing.

Sazer X: I can't comment too much having only seen the first 13 eps and didn't bother with the rest. I was turned off by the excess over-the-top humour, which speaks for itself. I may give it a second chance, but that's a pretty big if at this point. I also couldn't stand the designs. Still the fugliest seishin designs I've seen yet. I am told though by others who've stuck with it, that the story lines are better than GS and JR put together so who knows.

Ya Sazer X is really good the stupid comedy at the beging really hurt the progression of the show thankfully it was mainly between two characters and has lead to something really interesting in the long run but there all really worth watching and checking out.

Actually I can't get the whole thing at once. I'm on 56k so I'll be downloading maybe one episode every two days. (Wouldn't be able to do that were it not for Streamload...) :disappoin That said, I watched episode 1, am about to watch episode 2, and I'm in the process of downloading episode 3. (33%. With about 18 hours left.)

Notes about episode one:

-Tenma is decently cool for what is probably the main hero.
-I do not like Mika because she's a tad arrogant to be a good guy.
-Will the entire Wind tribe be evil, or is this just a temporary thing?
-They have much cooler henshin sequences than what I saw in Justiriser 00. Actually, speaking of Justiriser, I'm a bit more impressed with these suits than I am with Justiriser's. JR's looked so fake. Same problem I have with Ryukendo, really. That sword that the Red Sazer from JR has? Man, I know I bought something like that at Toys R' Us when I was a little kid.
Oh, and a question: Is there anything special about the buried Ultra Star God that kept it from being destroyed? The other ones got hit maybe twice and blew up. This one got hit like ten or fifteen times in the opening before finally just crashing. Is that their way of saying its really powerful, or just something they botched up on and I pay too close attention to things like that?
