Well, that's a shame. I had no idea he had drug problems (if that article is true). Let's hope he gets better soon, because Chapelle's Show is some of the funniest stuff on TV right now. I'm tired of waiting for the new season AND the 2nd season DVD's. It's all because some marketing asses at Comedy Central want them to coincide in order to hype up the new season. SO LAME! :laugh:

Dave Chappelle is easily the funniest man in showbiz right now and he's only just now hitting his prime. So ever since hearing about this, I've been getting flashbacks of Freddie Prinze, Sr. However it turns out, I just hope this story gets a happy ending.

I think Chappelle's Show is funny, but I've always wondered how much of it was a result of...you know, Chappelle. He writes it with that other guy, plus the real notable segments from last year are the Charlie Murphy ones. I wonder this because for years I've seen Chappelle in movies, talk shows and doing stand-up and he never made me laugh then, so why he is funny on his show? The show's not funny because of him.

It's still bad news, but why do I almost feel like this is some sort of prank? Who in the hell checks into South African mental wards? I'd presume to keep out of the press, but...that didn't work, so what else?

Could be a major joke against the viewers, they could have everything done and are just playin' around, plus it would give him stand-up crack material later, but that would be waaaaay too elaborate. Wait and see, I guess.

Yeah, exactly. This might be hairbrained, but to me, even though he jokes about it a lot, Chappelle doesn't seem like the kind of guy that would get involved with drugs, at least to a serious extent.
