Apparently, Charlie Murphy told the New York Post that Dave isn't going to do it anymore. They made 8 episodes for the third season, but they won't be aired.

Guess he really was nuts. If this is true, my opinion of him just went down quite a bit. If someone gives you $50 million to produce a show, you do your goddamn job, come hell or high water.

Yeah, that's pretty heart breaking and shitty. I hear he didn't go nuts, just wasn't handling the pressure and being surrounded by Yesmen and felt he couldn't do a comparable job to the previous season.

By time he was back, everyone had gone on to other projects.

But yeah.... this was some pretty crappy news to hear. In a world of a lot of reality crap and unfunny shows, I hate how good shows fall more often than bad shows.

Kinda like Angel during last year.

Well, it's not Dave's fault, he got treated like **** at Comedy Central. Bad hours, long hours, he practically got nothing out of the DVD sales. They gave him a bum deal. I hope he'll still do stand up though.

I doubt it's really over. Call me a non-believer or whatever but I can't see how Chapelle could've possibly not have been exorbitantly paid, even without DVD sales (which I suspect still made him a ton of money). Or maybe it's just that I'm in denial because I don't want it to be over, such is the overwhelming amount of completely **** shows now airing on Comedy Central (South Park STILL hasn't died).

NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
Say it ain't so ma! Say it ain't so!!

I really loved Chapelle's show...and I'll be sad if it indeed doesn't come back. But Mind Of Mensia is pretty damn funny, so I think that will fill the void nicely.

Meh... "never be released" really means that in a year or two they'll be out on DVD fo a marked up price.

I agre with Everything Keith Says. If you can't do your job you quit. and thats what Dave did, and good for him I say.

Would have been a lot better if the Losers artists and Writers at Dreamwave could have done that instead of racking up checks they knew they weren't gonna get and put the company under even more financial strain and bad PR.
