Cartoon Network in Trouble

The dissolving of the network is just rumor... they would never do that over something that will blow over in a week.

-In a news conference, Rich told reporters he had advised his clients not to discuss the incident. Stevens and Berdovsky took the podium and said they were taking questions only about haircuts in the 1970s.

-When a reporter accused them of not taking the situation seriously, Stevens responded, "We're taking it very seriously." Asked another question about the case, Stevens reiterated they were answering questions only about hair and accused the reporter of not taking him and Berdovsky seriously.

-Reporters did not relent and as they continued, Berdovsky disregarded their queries, saying, "That's not a hair question. I'm sorry."

I'm glad all this about Cartoon Network being axed over one silly stunt is just a rumour, as I'm a keen fan on some of their shows, Dexters Lab, Powerpuff Girls, etc..

And Cartoon Network aren't the only company to pull these daft advertizing stunts. Look at Sony's PlayStation (the king of stupid advertizing stunts). From White PSP with a white woman holding a black wonan's face, to showing a dead guy to advertize for Tekken 3, to alsorts of junk. Next they'll say their PlayStation 3 is a weapon of mass destruction and lie about it having a built in bomb (PAH, still not buying one, Dreamcast OWNZ this ****!!).

Mmm... we're talking about BOSTON. They have traffic jams on a DAILY basis to begin with. :rolleyes2:

I guess the "hardships" they're talking about is the traffic jams and shutting down all those streets. The traffic jams could have easily made it near impossible for people to get to where they needed to go, be it work, home or heck, the hospital. This definitely caused problems.

And no doubt that completely shutting down certain streets made that worse. It's just taking one bad situation and amplifying it.

Ironically, those almost never air on CN anymore, usually gotta go to Bommerang for something like that.
