Honestly I think I could enjoy it a lot better if it was made as a kid show again instead of an adult drama.

I rented the pilot for Babylon 5 because of liking what he did with Captain Power, but I didn't like it and couldn't even finish it. Is the show itself any better?

I would say the show is much better than the pilot. I do agree the pilot itself wasn't all that great, it's been awhile since I've seen it but I don't remember it fondly. But it was just a single movie, which I'm sure was designed to wet everybody's whistle and introduce the basic concepts of this particular universe. The series itself is very good, with some overreaching plots to characters that actually evolved as time goes by. Just to warn you season 1 does lay all the ground work for the following seasons, so it may but you off a bit but it's worth it once it gets going.

Wow, I never thought that one of my favorite scifi television shows as a kid would make a comeback! I am very excited to see what can be done to make the story and characters and the universe of Captain Power even more than what is was back then.

I am gonna order that DVD set and the soundtrack as soon as I get paid! :buttrock:

Does this mean now we'll get a great US made scifi Toku show with Captain Power: Phoenix Rising? I sure hope so!
