Norton and Marvel couldn't agree on certain things. Norton even contributed to writing "The Incredible Hulk"
Ruffalo was booed at last year's comic con since he was replacing Norton. AFTER already recasting Hulk from the 2003 movie with Norton (2008)
That and Terrance Howard demanding more money and recasting him with Don Cheadle, are the only sore spots in Marvel Studio's dream of making the avengers movie.
Norton had issues with Marvel Studios while filming The Incredible Hulk, in his contract, he was granted "creative control" over the writing, which is why he added a lot of scenes with Bruce Banner struggling with his power and holding the Hulk inside him back, even to the point of Bruce Banner attempting to commit suicide (IIRC, this was one of the deleted scenes with him in the sea with glaciers, having Captain America's frozen body as a cameo). Marvel didn't want Bruce Banner to have too much time that it would lessen Hulk's scenes, which is why they removed most of what Norton has made to make Hulk's appearance earlier than the original plan. Hulk was their selling point after all...
If you ask me though, I blame Marvel Studios since they have weird managing techniques.
Wow, I see. I can understand add-libing..but enough creative control to do some writing? That's generous.
Anyways that was sour spot for me as well...I never like when actors have disputes with the any member of the crew.
I mean Terrence...really? As if he doesn't have enough money..it's a shame because i REALLY liked him as Rhodey and was looking forward to him becoming War Machine. Don was good..but lacked a bit of flavor.
