Can't view the HJU Website

I've been trying to access the the main HJU website for a couple of days now, but I either keep getting a blank white page, or a "this webpage is not available" message with more info:

Error 101 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_RESET): Unknown error.

I use Google Chrome, but I also tried accessing the site with IE, and still nothing.

U could always try using a web proxy like vtunnel. The website is www.vtunnel.com.

Thanks, but even still I never had to use any of that before. I've always been able to view the site, but now I'm having trouble.

Maybe something wrong is with the cookies/cache settings on your computer. Also, did you try using Firefox?

Another reason could be that the server could have just been going through heavy traffic thus limiting and/or denying access to some members.

that or your ISP may have accidentally blocked the site. Or maybe it could be an anti-virus/malware scanner program of yours that's doing it.

I have PC Doctor and it'll sometimes block sites such as this, YouTube, Wikipedia and Yahoo and a few other ones sometimes if it catches something bad running through the sites' server.

Well, how do I go about checking these things if any of those are the reasons?

*I Windows Vista
*My virus protection program is Avast
*I use Google Chrome, but I also have IE (which I used to try and access HJU website but it also gave me problems).

Try putting your Avast into "Silent/Gaming Mode."

Go with what JFC said about Avast.

As for Vista, I'm not 100% sure as I use XP but I do know that Vista is a pain when it comes to website surfing for some people.

Google Chrome and IE shouldn't be a problem unless you changed your previous security settings for those Internet programs. I myself just prefer FireFox.

It was definitely Avast, because I uninstalled it (now using PC tools Doctor) and I can view the site just fine now. Thanks for the help, people!
